Meet the herd I tame every Equus I see

So I've started playing ark survival evolved again and I've been on this primitive plus pve server, searching desperately for a horse. Last night after I gave up, I decided to tame a male raptor that I needed for the egg boost. I finished taming, saddled up, and started to ride home when I turn the corner and right there! A horse! Raptor forgotten, I start taming the horse, get knocked off a few times but get the hang of it, until the horse runs us both across the island and into a pack of allos! We both died. I'm still so sad.
