I'm home.
And have been since 930 this morning. The trip back was interesting. Took a detour to Wichita and had dinner with Coty. He is awesome. Like, cooler IRL than he is on the Internet and as we discussed that's hard to do. We started talking the minute I walked into the bar and two and a half hours later had to drag ourselves away from the table so I could get back on the road. I'm so glad I got to meet him before he moves across the ocean. Then, I was stuck in Wichita. I went through the toll plaza like 4 times and could NOT get on the freakin' interstate. I was getting a little frustrated, but turns out it was just flooded and it finally opened and I was on my way. Thank goodness I was talking to Eric for all that because I was ready to set some police on fire for not letting me on the road. Then, cried to him because I didn't want to come to Indiana. I wanted to go home to him. Distance, man! Torrential downpours all through the night through all of Kansas and Missouri. I had to go like 50 and could barely see. Rain was really cramping my style. I drove all through the night and every time I started getting tired I would load up on more red bull. This morning I picked up a traveler in Illinois (I know... I've already gotten my lectures...) and he rode with me for about an hour. I also got pulled over and got a speeding ticket that I'm confident I could have gotten out of had I not had a hitch hiker in my car. But he was there and I have a ticket. I continued speeding after that because what were they going to do, pull me over again? Whoopie. So we can check cross country all nighter and pick up hitch hiker off my bucket list. I got home and went to sleep and woke up with a hangover. I haven't even touched alcohol in at least two weeks, but apparently caffeine hangovers are a thing I didn't know about. And now I'm laying in bed with this little kitten who keeps trying to lick my eyeballs and I really miss my boyfriend.
