That is super sweet of you! I really like helping people find fics they really enjoyed, so I don’t need to be repayed. Though I’ll confess between work and the pandemic, my brain has turned to mush, so I’ll probably do most of my fic searching on my next day off (Wednesday).

A 2-fer: Where is the most dangerous place that you’ve read fic? Where is the most dangerous place that you’ve written fic?

The most dangerous place I've read fic was in a car full of coworkers, headed to do a factory tour of our print vendor. I was in the front seat, so it's possible someone could have seen what I was reading over my shoulder but gotdam, I needed to tune out my director or I was going to lose my mind. I think it might have been Mystrade. :D

The most dangerous place I've written fanfic? On my work computer. In my defense, I was high as balls on a lot of pain meds at the time (I'd convalesced from the Head Crab for a full 2 weeks but still had stitches in my head that pulled). That was years ago, but I still remember peering up out of my drug-fueled haze from writing about firearms and mayhem and Castiel and Jack Harkness having sex and thinking "this is probably a bad idea."

Fun fact: I wrote quite a bit of Grace while high as balls and tangling with hallucinations from PTSD! That might explain some things?

Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

Ummmm, a bit of both? I try and write from start to finish but like, sometimes I get super excited and write a later scene and then go back to where I was and work my way up to that scene. Like with my long fic The Raven, I’m pretty sure I wrote out a lot of the Merthur scenes before hand because I was really excited for them, but because it was a slow burn I had to go back and fill in the blanks to make sure the development was steady. 

How do you feel about collaborations?

I’m all for them! For Merthur Party one year, I did a collab with @dylanobrolin and @larielaris where we wrote the same story from different POVs and it was really fun! I’ve tried since then to do more collaborations, but they’re pretty hard to organise since everyone is on different schedules.

Because I wanted tea anyway and have a crap-ton of edible glitter, I tried it. Unfortunately, as edible glitter (the foodsafe kind that's not just for decor but can actually be eaten) is made of gum arabic (w/ or w/o cornstarch), which tends to dissolve in liquid (esp. hot liquid). I had the best luck with gold & silver glitter stars... they were pretty before they melted. :)

So what's on the agenda after Grace?

After Grace, there will be... more Grace! I have some side stories that I’ve wanted to write and put off because finishing the main story is the goal. 

But I’m going to take a break from the Grace!universe and write a couple (hopefully) smaller fics. The first one is a harkstiel piece that’s set entirely inside House on the Rock. Which is why I’ve been obsessively reading Alex Jordan biographies and why I’ll be headed up there again, soon. You know I have a sort of unhealthy fascination with it, so it’s about time I used it as the setting for a story. I already have a full plot for that story AND I’ve learned from awabubbles how to do chapter summaries, so hopefully I can avoid the massive scope creep that happened to Grace.

The second is a Drum Corps sastiel AU. I’m still fact-gathering for that one, specifically about how performers practice and execute formations. I’m pretty sure I’m putting Sam in the color guard, and Castiel gets to play center snare. One of my main goals for that story is using the summer heat like a secondary character.

Third is finishing the End!verse superwood story I’ve had in the works with awabubbles for a couple years. Actually, this is more like first in terms of priority, because the collaborative effort on the plot design created a thing of terrible beauty, and I want other people besides us to see it.

Merlin is definitely #1 but after that the order is meaningless.  I've also been tearing through The Vampire Diaries lately, but not sure where it would stand on the rewatch list. I also LOVED The Borgias, but the ending is too painful to relive. lol
