background information: Jade grew up on Eleuthera which is a smaller island in the Bahamas, population just over eleven thousand, with just her old, superstitious, strict grandfather. She kind of mostly got sick of tourists and saw better opportunities for herself in terms of education in America so she came here two years ago and attended Columbia University, majoring in physics. After a year she experienced some pretty intense burnout, not really prepared for American college life or city life, so she's taken to kicking back in upstate New York with a bong, her dog Bec and a laptop equipped to play some Squiddles while working retail on and off. This is all really beneath her and she knows it, so she keeps playing the bass, which she's played since she was eleven, to keep herself otherwise entertained. She's pretty much a pro at it- it comes naturally to her. Her fingers are always covered in either band-aids or rubber band reminders or both. She loves astronomy and physics (and therefore astrophysics) and lying outside in the grass with Bec. She doesn't like working retail and cities that's for goddamn sure. She's not very good at people and can get pretty stressed in social situations. If you're good to her she'll try her best.

background information: Gamzee comes from a pretty well off family. There was always food in the cupboards and everything he'd ever need. The only issue was, Gamzee had some mental issues, he would often go into fits of full blown rage without a good reason and had troubles telling the difference between the things that would happen in his head and reality sometimes, which left his parents in a stump. They had tried many different methoods of trying to calm their son down even slightly, and not many worked, some did but those were the few things Gamzee would refuse to take part of. That's until they decided to let him try the drums.
And it worked, not only did he like playing them, they also helped him relieve some of the pent up anger and stress that caused him to rage, though it didn't fix all of the issues, and he still does rage from time to time, but it did help improve his, and his families lives.
It wasn't until he was a little older (around 17) that he started his first band. (named Rotting clown ballsacks, he was young and adventurous) which lasted about 7 months before they all got angry at eachother and broke up over a drunken fight. One thing lead to another and now here he is, on a road to possible greatness.

Depending on her mood she will also debate politics with you for hours and is a vehement feminist. She doesn't like pollution or when people tell her she can't bring pets on the bus.
