TOURING AMERICA - DAYS 17 - 19 | Amtrak Adventures - All Aboard!
We took a day trip to Morro Bay, California. We enjoyed our time walking up and down the docks, browsing the local shops and having lunch along the shoreline. Morro Bay has the bravest squirrels, as they will walk right up to you and tap on your shoe asking for a snack. Fun times!
Located on the wharf in downtown San Diego, CA, the Maritime Museum of San Diego has an amazing collection of antique ships and exhibits. We walked through old submarines, a steam ferry and old sailing ships. The featured attractions are the Star of India, the world's oldest active sailing ship, and the HMS Surprise, which was used in the movie, Master and Commander. Fun times.
