Happy Sunday, everyone, it's time once again for a new vid! This one is a tribute to The Four Big 70s Disaster Movies: Airport, Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, and Earthquake.
Despite the fact that this vid incorporates clips from four different movies, it was one of the easiest and most fun for me to make. I think it’s because the movies and the song all have a similar structure – you have the anticipation of the expansive intros, the tension and energy ramping up through the bridge and chorus, then you get a little breathing room, then the tension returns in an even more explosive way, then you have the contemplative sequence, and finally the enervated denouement.
Pompeii is a popular song for vidding, so this one might seem like a no-brainer, but it was really just a thrill for me to start working on a vid and realize I had picked the perfect song for it. (Please reblog if you agree!)
