Spotted Cort aka Viscid Violet Cort - Cortinarius iodes

This mushroom isn't in the one guidebook I (for now) own, so I had a time.

I thought it was a blewit, or maybe a Inocybe geophylla var. lilacina or Laccaria amethystina. You can imagine my confusion when this purple baby dropped a rusty-brown butt-spore-print.

In my head, I now call this mushroom "Not-a-Blewit." I thought it was but I... well, you know....

I blewit was mistaken.
