spurlocke looks like he comes from one of those colorful cyberpunk sci fi cities, so what kind of city does he live in? *does he have a cool motorcycle*? does his TOXINVEIN have a name? why hasnt it completely overtaken him? are they friends? do spurlocke's markings change color with his mood?

visually its pretty much just a tron cycle but you ride it more like a normal bike instead fo that dumb laying down thing they do on actual tron ones

TOXINVEIN can only root in and overtake “living” matter, but they will superficially attach more readily to metallic things and/or other sources of energy–in cases like spurlocke, where there’s a good amount of inorganic parts integrated into and powered by a living thing’s body, toxinvein will bind to those instead of the being themselves–and be unable to spread “outside” those to overtake more of the host. it’ll still affect the host of course because that IS still part of their biology, it’s just not actually Living material. spurlocke’s neons are pretty basic as biotech goes; he doesn’t have any voluntary control over the colors or anything they’re just There.
i’m pretty sure toxinvein aren’t sentient enough have much capacity to be “friends” with another being, but spurlocke’s about as much pals with it as you can be with that in mind. they also probably can’t really comprehend or respond to having a name and he probably knows that, but spurlocke is like. definitely the kind of person who would give it one anyway. what im probably gonna do is just have him call it something different in every scene because i think thats funny. and they’re all totally mundane names too. ‘trudy’. ‘robin.’ ‘jackie’. ‘chester.’ etc.
he does live in a big techy city! i don’t really know anything about it yet! it kinda only existed in theory until super recently, and as far as i can tell, he and ama will only be visiting it briefly before shit starts happening :v i haven’t come across any music to build it to, and im not really good at environmental aesthetics otherwise so you can probably just think whatever generic futuristic neon city and that’ll fit.
the first thing that came to mind when i started thinking about it was the domed city in waterworks, although while conceptually very cool, that, uh. leaves a bit to be desired as visuals go. [no shade @ shakks though! looking through this again trying to find that city made it dawn on me all over again how much this adventure and its animation fuckin slaps]
i don’t actually see this city as being encased in a dome which kind of defeats the entire purpose of finding this visual :x
another thing that popped into mind was corneria so mayb sth along these lines
it feels like it’s a lot brighter than most of nk’s domain; i tihnk there’s probably actually projected blue skies there, unlike the dingy tones of the rest of place [nk’s domain doesn’t have a sun so p much all the light is artificial. im still working on what the…….less-curated places look like.]
