Ready, Aim, Fire | Blaise + Finn
Arriving into the training centre on the final day of training, a smile formed across my face as I realised every station from the last few days had returned. Without hesitation, I headed to the one I'd most wanted to do before but hadn't got a chance; slingshots. I headed over and picked one up. People in eleven occasionally used them to shoot birds and other animals away from food growing up in the trees, but having never had the chance to work like most people had, I didn't have the experience in them that many in eleven had.
I'd used them before when I was trying to train myself, but not enough to feel particularly confident. I leant over and picked one up, a sleek, metallic object so different to the wooden ones abundant at home. I wrapped my fingers around it, feeling its unfamiliar weight, before searching for ammunition. Looking around, I saw a tribute I'd yet to meet holding it.
"Are you using that?" I asked, cursing the fact I had to share the training centre with other tributes at all.
