we are wayyy past due for reference updates on the Retyrement AU; December of last year was the AU's 4th anniversary, hard to believe i've been drawing these old people for that long lmao
if you're new to inscryption or my account, this is my AU where all the scrybes are retired humans living in the same old folks home; they still play cards, but mostly get into various petty interpersonal dramas and spend time with their families with varying degrees of enthusiasm
my buddy @squid-hug made the original textpost that birthed this concept because he's the funniest guy alive, and i've been both drawing art and writing an accompanying fanfic for it ever since; the fanfic's on its 29th chapter and counting and i'm bafflingly flattered every day by how many folks seem to enjoy this wild soap opera as much as i do haha
