Above is a concept which eludes many and is held in only the strongest psyches. Something I seemed to always live by but it was never really easy. Remember, I was the underdog. I was the kid from a small town in Cr who should’ve never had a chance. (Although sometimes ignorance is bliss, lol). Even though I always lived by the above quote, I never forgot the weird and strangely displaced feeling I had the first 10-15 days I bought my own helicopter. It was sitting there in my backyard just waiting to be flown. Unfortunately I had to hire a team of A+P’s and one I.A. to fix some discrepancies it had in the log books. (An A+P is an aircraft mechanic, an I.A. is the person from the FAA who signs the aircraft as airworthy. I’ll never forget those thoughts in my head. “Who does this?” “What the hell am I doing!?” I’ve never never known ANYONE (where I grew up) who had ever bought their own helicopter, much less proceeds to fly it out of their back yard! (But then I thought) “but people do it all over the world.” Then I also remembered the above quote by Nelson Mandela. My brain was simply getting used to the fact that I was “finally” a well deserved and proud aircraft owner. Since then I’ve made thousands of deals in real estate, business and yes, more aircraft. It seemed to have gotten easier as I went along and that strange feeling turned into a rush, just knowing I was living an entrepreneurs lifestyle. Having the mindset they don’t teach in public schools or middle class upbringing. Yesssss, IT”S OK to make money and live your dreams. In fact (we live in such an abundant world) it serves the economy but most of all, it serves humanity in so many ways.
