Zulu - Candela (1974)
Groovy Peruvian psych from Zulu, the bass player of Traffic Sound. That funky piano just pulls me in.
Zulu - Haces Mal,, Pobre Chico (1974)
I posted another song by Zulu fairly recently, but this tune is very different. While Candela was funky and soulful, this is definitely more a psych ballad with some fantastic heavy guitar towards the end.
Traffic Sound - Sky Pilot (1968)
Traffic Sound, one of my favorite South American psych bands, cover Eric Burdon & the Animals. It may be blasphemy, but I prefer Traffic Sound’s a bit more subdued version. While Eric Burdon’s bluesy voice works on many Animals’ tunes (and War as well), I find him too overbearing on Sky Pilot.
