I just had a beautiful little moment

with a car on the highway. 

I was driving on the main highway, in the rain, and he was merging from another highway. Since I was in the right lane, and he was merging, I switched over to the left lane LIKE PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. 

I was also making a right turn soon, so I sped up to pass him. As I switched lanes, crossing in front of him, he crossed behind me into the left lane and flashed his lights at me. 

I'm convinced there are still good drivers in this world. And it gets better. 

We're about neck to neck, racing toward the stop light, and we both get in our respective turn lanes at the same damn time. 

And this is why I love the American traffic system, folks. Because when people do what they're supposed to do, it works like a dance. A beautiful dance. In the middle of the night. On the highway. While pouring rain.
