Greater Kudu Tragelaphus strepsiceros
A large woodland antelope, found throughout eastern and southern Africa. During the day, greater kudus are not active and instead seek cover under woodland, especially during hot days. They feed and drink in the early morning and late afternoon, acquiring water from waterholes or roots and bulbs that have a high water content.

Trick or Treat 🐬
Time for another trick or treat! If we keep this up we might be done before Halloween comes round again lol. For you it's something different today. An ungulate yes, like our cetacean friends. However this time one from the dry lands.
Honestly, above water landscapes are what trouble me the most. You know, the colours, the foliage. It's scary. And since this is all about improving, what better than to get into the Kenyan bush. Helps that I love Kenya and adore kudus. So have this dapper Lesser kudu bull, once again courtesy of inaturalist, shared under CC-BY-NC license. I'm really really happy with how this turned out. At first it looked awful but I guess the key to shrubs and trees is to fake it till you make it. Did take an hour, which is longer than I'd like for these studies, but we've gotta start somewhere.
