Trailer time is pretty fabulous on Gabriola Island. We were invited to weekend there to winterize my friend’s Land Yacht. I came prepared with warm clothes and beer. I contributed mainly by reading instructions aloud on how to secure a rather large tarp over the tailer and keeping score for Rummy 500. In between our walks through miles of Alder, Cedar and Fern forests and the amazing Malaspina Galleries of sculpted sandstone rock, we enjoyed many BC beers. Container Fresh Hop Grisette tasted beautiful against a back drop of wet colourful leaves. Four Winds Melange barrel-aged Tart Farmhouse Ale helped us get acclimatized to the cool damp nights. Longwood collaboration with White Sails Hopposites Attract Wet Hop Pale Ale with Kveik kept us on our game throughout the evening. Can’t wait to summerize it here.
