Honestly surprised I haven’t seen a Troy/Harris/whatever the fuck their ship name is (have ya’ll settled on one yet, or???) werewolf AU yet.

Like i can see it all so clearly: Troy struggling and scared at the start of the trade, having been turned into a werewolf by Dallas or something. Him trying to hide it while also not flipping out on his team or Harris, self sabotaging in order to keep the others safe, Harris or Ilya or both eventually finding out and trying to help him, perhaps even a blow-up on the ice during a game. Harris is a dog person! He’d love this lol

Would he (and Dallas or whoever turned him) be the only supernatural creatures? Are any of the other Centaurs also werewolves? Would they be other secret supernatural creatures? Endless possibilities.

I’d do it myself but the creative burnout has ben everlasting for months now and I cannot add another WIP to my list.

I read the werewolf asks for SJS and I’m endeared and very very into it. Like the found family vibes would be so good for them.

Especially with willmack, samisa, grafchuk, mukhasky and maybe even chernyluca (Eky missing his Zetts when he sees these new fellow pups 😔) These pups being closely watched and cared for by Vinny, Reavo, Toff, Ned, Wenny, and other vets too.

I have a question in this au, are sjs the team with the most werewolves?

Like the nipping and little bites, being side eyed by the opposing teams and the heavy scents distracting the werewolves from other team.

The more veteran superstar werewolves from other teams are slightly wary, this is their dream scenario which makes them feel jealous but at the same time it is terrifying to because it can become a precedent for the future of hockey. When teams starts to realize how in sync the sharks have become, suspecting that possibly sjs developed a phenomenon that has long not been seen in werewolves of hockey?

But even outside of hockey it’s so rarely seen or happen. So the possibility is so rare so some of them drop it.

However what if there are some that won’t?

When the vets realized and the management along with Grier, that the phenomenon did happen…

Will they be desperate to hide it or flaunt it? At what point does Bettman and other executives of NHL intervene?

Thinking about this possibilities after reading the asks, I’m so curious 😅

Hello 🎈, the more you guys ask about the werewolf au. it makes me want to put together a fic from a journalism pov that answers these questions in a convoluted media perspective. that would be so fun to write. Exclusive interviews with different players that feed into or completely dismiss the pack issues, werewolf controversies. Thank you for the idea holy fuck.

Mind links aren't real. Right? GMMG wouldn't like collect all these rookies and throw em together with a few choice werewolf vets, personality hires really, to foster the perfect codependent team environment that may or may not result in a stronger then average bond. Right?

Okay maybe he would. This begs the question of do the benefits outweigh the cost of function. Dynamic coaches and werewolf informed staff don't come cheap, continuing education programs. Media availability is more than half pack focused rather than anything about player development or strategy or community outreach. But in two seasons they've gone from kicking rocks with the fucking canucks to making a solid playoff push. So. Yeah maybe it's worth it

Out of curiosity, would things have turned out differently afterwards if Zoey had lost her sight permanently in that eye as a result of it getting slashed?

Mm i dont think so, maybe just the adjustment period of getting used to it. Like zoey taking more time off hunts until she trained again but with the depth change.

Also mira's guilt being worse than it is already (its really bad) since she was the one that hurt zoey.

Would love to see more of the period Zoey was half blind, be it Mira cleaning her slashed eye or Rumihelping her navigate and not bump into things with no depth perception

So you mentioned a buddy system in the comments in the Zoey in chains comic, how does that system work? Is Rumi usually the one who keeps an eye on Werewolf Zoey because she’s half demon?

At first both of them went to check on zoey every full moon , but sometimes they would end up way too tired to help zoey properly or take care of any idol stuff that came up.

They decided that depending on the circunstances, the scedule or if either of them was injured , one of them would oversee how zoey acted on the full moon, checking her hunting patterns, if she went to a place where there was civillians, needed some help with some other rogue demon and to keep her safe in general while the other sleeps and have everything ready for the morning, a big meaty breakfast, bandages, first aid kit and a bath ready for zoey and was the one that took care of any schedule adjustment with bobby or any huntrix work stuff.

Rumi took more shifts at the start since her demon side let her caught up with zoey easier and keep an eye on her at a farther distance to not anger zoeys wolf, after the wolf recognized rumira as pack they change to one on one shifts.
