I’m done, guys! Two months are hard work, and I have a collection I’m very proud of!
This took WAY too fucking long to make, and I blame that entirely on Procreate Dreams. Definitely a learning curve. I would’ve killed for this type of program when I was in high school, but the limitations were a mountain to overcome
Fortunately these two girls were worth the trouble. Please love my siren OC, she’s one of my favorites
Another one! Mermaid and her Selkie girlfriend! Only two more for the sapphic collection!
This one is more platonic admittedly, but it’s still the story of two women who find solace in each other’s company and. There’s a mermaid. So it’s being included in the sapphic fairytale collection!
I think my reasoning for keeping it will be clear when we get to the episode. I wrote the rough draft in like, ten minutes, I want to tell this story that badly
But I’m considering this piece for the aro wlw, because queer friendships are important!
Newest sapphic couple — the mermaid and the siren! I know that in a lot of stories, these two are treated as the same thing, and we often use “siren” to describe a more “evil” mermaid, but I love the concept of these two being different species.
Like sharks and dolphins! I tend to stick to this mindset when I draw them — my sirens are more aquatic creatures whereas my mermaids are mammals.
I love the level of lore this concept invites. And so, in my typical fashion…I had to ship them!

I feel like I say this about all of my illustrations for this collection, but this is another story which has been with me for years and years. I still hope to animate it one day…

This one is actually based on my garden. I have a lot of spiders that live in my carnivorous plants, which is more poetic than anything I could ever write lol
