A cecaelia is a type of merfolk with the lower body of an octopus or squid rather than a tail fin. Some of these creatures can glow underwater. Male and female cecaelias are generally quite feared due to the strength and length of their tentacles. However, this type of merpeople prefer to be left alone and keep to their own kind.
