Pokemon Headcanon: Senirasushipping

i was talking to some peeps on discord about rarepairs and how they got together. this was one of the rarepairs i wrote

Candice and Volkner met during their first year as Gym Leaders during the Sinnoh Gym Leader meeting

Candice was like, 100% super bubbly and was like “hi i’m Candice!” except Volkner’s just like, unresponsive

but that didn’t stop Candice from trying to be friends

she was very eager to be friends with this gloomy quiet boi that every time they see each other, she’s just “hi! remember me?"

Volker is actually super awkward with people who are so bold, assertive, and happy

Flint just laughs and tells Volker "good luck, dude"

Volkner internally cri

since then tho, Candice would just keep on talking to him as if they were already good friends. She doesn’t really mind that he’s so closed off. But there was this one moment

during a vacation thing for all the Gym Leaders and Elite 4/Champsthey were all at the beach and Candice, Maylene, and Gardenia were just in the ocean playing and whatever the fuck ppl do at the beach when suddenly there was a HUGE wave that washed in and swept the girls

Maylene and Gardenia thankfully got out of there quickly (they both knew how to swim)Candice wasn’t so lucky

so everyone was frantic and crasher wake was about to jump in to find Candice when Volkner beat him to it

Volkner just fucking, mad sprinted and dove in to find Candice (she doesn’t know how to swim)

he spends a while trying to find her and after what feels like hours, he finds her. She was unconscious. So Volkner takes Candice back to shore and immediately does CPR and mouth-to-mouth stuff

everyone was super fucking worried and Maylene was crying and it was a stressful time

Candice coughs up water and wakes up! she’s ok! Volkner saved her!!!!

Candice is still like, super like "wtf just happened?” but Volkner pulled her into the tightest hug ever and whispers “please don’t ever do that. i thought i lost you”

and Candice is just blushing like mad like “oma;dlkafj;lkfdjfl;kjsf;lakdsjfal;”

so since then, the two of them became even closer and Volkner even opened up to Candice (the only other person he has a strong bond with is Flint)

years of friendship with Candice, Volkner starts to really fall for her and calls up Flint b/c he doesn’t know what’s happening. He explains to him that every time he thinks about Candice, his chest gets tight and his face gets super red. And when they stop talking for the day/night, he gets super sad and wished that she was there with him in person. Flint was like"my dude. you have a crush on our ice princess"

and Volkner’s just “what’s that”

cue montage of Flint teaching Volkner what crush and love is

on the other side, Candice has had a crush on Volkner ever since he saved her that day on the beach and has been talking to Maylene and Gardenia about it. Maylene suggests that he’s a lost cause b/c he’s always so quiet and never really bothered with relationships at all. Gardenia says that Candice should take a chance and ask him out. Lots of conflicting advice for our poor gal

cut to few months later and they’re at another Gym Leader meeting

Candice and Volkner are across from each other and are blushing so much that they could barely pay attention to the meeting

once it’s over, Candice quickly goes over to Volkner and pulls him aside to talk to him

she’s all “hi. yeah uh. so, i have something i sort of want to tell you. this is probably going to be SUPER silly and oh my gosh i’m really nervous and shit i’m talking a lot i talk a lot when i’m nervous. ok ok ok, so like, uhm, thank you, again for like, you know, saving me that day, on the beach. like, ha ha i probably should have been wearing a life jacket or something b/c i don’t know how to swim. how silly right! why would i be in the ocean if i don’t know how to swim! it’s ridiculous, but i’ve learned my lesson-”

and Volkner just goes right up and kisses Candice on the lips and they kind of stay like that for a couple minutes before pulling apart and they’re both a blushing messVolkner’s just “I like you.”

and Candice just stares at him, wide-eye and is like “yeah… I MEAN! I like you too!”

I was researching various cultures and started putting them in Pokemon world. Here's some traditional Yup'ik clothing but Pokemon world. 👍

I have been doing this for around a year or two (The MSPaint one was drawn probably six months or so ago now.) You can probably see it in my Hareta design, who I picked because he is my favorite character but mostly because he's the only Pokemon DPA character with dark hair. So I have a lot more of this kind of thing to share. I just haven't because I'm kinda scared on stepping on toes. Let me know if you all want more.
