[The sound of-slight frustation and a falling rotom phone clattering against a desk are heard-before a small shuffle of readjustment before the hand blocking the screen pulls away to reveal...Grace, sitting on the bed of her academy dorm.]

"Hey, Guys. It's-It's me, Grace. I know, I don't usually do videos and stuff but-I guess I just...needed to feel like someone was actually listening on the other side.

Anyway-No, this isn't one of those 'If you're hearing this' kind of messages-I just...I wanted to get some thoughts off my chest I guess."

[Beside her is her backpack-she reaches inside, rifling through it somewhat haphazardly before pulling out what looks like some sort of weathered old journal.]

"This here, this-is mine. I've had it since I was-what-ten years old..? It was a going away present from mom-So I could write down and record every adventure I ever had, and show it to her whenever I'd come visit. This here-...This is my entire life, almost. From-back in Unova, to Kalos, Hoenn, you name it-...even-..."

[Her voice breaks slightly-opening it to a much later page-as she pulls a photo out from between the pages. It-looks quite old, and yet-like it hasn't aged at all.]

"...Even Hisui..."

[She turns the photo around to show three figures-Herself, Trainer Will (@challengedbywiley )-and a tall, blonde looking figure who seems to almost have to duck to be seen in the frame-the other two seeming to laugh slightly, trying to get out of the way of the man's oversized backpack.]

"..This was Volo. I dunno-why I wanted to bring him up again NOW of all times, with all this orange text and Alex Caesar shit going on but-...Yeah. Actually-no-I know why.

Because I've-...I think Orange Text-Alex- 'Bi-'something-or WHATEVER he is-...he kinda had a point. Am I just-repeating Volo's mistakes?? Or am I trying to keep alive all the good things I remember about him? ...I hope it's the latter 'cause-Well, I know he did some misguided things but-but NOBODY deserves to be just a fading memory right..?"

[She looks down at the floor-tenderly placing her picture back inside the journal and setting it aside for now. She takes a deep breath.]

"Volo was-curious, obviously-when he started rambling, well-It almost kinda reminds me of Professor Amo when she's teaching about ruins. ...I wonder if he woulda liked her. Anyway-Always questioning, always seeking answers-...even to a misguided degree. He took us in when NO ONE else would, wanted to protect others from suffering-presumably as he once did. He had a TOGEKISS raised from an egg and a LUCARIO for Arc's sake! You can't fake emotions towards them even if you TRIED, and trust me I would know! ..And he always loved photographs. Something about-capturing a moment in time forever, creating history in the here and now-...

...I wonder if he ever knew we finished that pokedex.

...Anyway-That day at Spear Pillar-..he said a couple of things that-still kinda bug me? First off-...he asked if we had a dream-a dream that propelled us, as his did. ...I didn't really know how to answer then but now

I think I finally know what mine is. I want-I want the Survey Corps to be so much bigger than running around a giant crater looking for clues, more than this-..I want to keep a memory alive. I want to keep the survey corps spirit alive, and I want-I want to keep alive all of the GOOD Volo had in him-...That's what I want all of this to be ABOUT.

The second-...Well it's a bit more complicated.

The last thing he said, to Will and I-...was that he would wait to achieve his goal, no matter what it took. Whether it be years, decades, or even centuries. ...And that kinda-still haunts me. I've seen other timelines here on Rotumblr-Other VOLOS actively using this site, some from their timeline's present-...so if those ones are out there then-

Hey, Rotumblr!

It has been-a long while over here, Lemme tell y’all. Area Zero’s mysteries still elude me, I’m no closer to figuring out those strange symbols, all those things going on around the world-Why Rotumblr is able to communicate across timelines-…are there timelines out there where Pokemon are not a FACTOR? Well-I know I’ve seen some blogs from those worlds so yes, presumably-other worlds, EVERYTHING.

I don’t think pouring over the Scarlet and Violet books are gonna cut it anymore. ..Maybe I should start my own journal. Maybe there IS a book out there with answers-I don’t know.

but I swear, to all of you-to everyone under the command of the Area Zero Survey Corps-I WILL figure this out. I will do my best-as this organization’s FOUNDER.
