Bluffer’s Guide to Traktor’s Remix Decks, Part 2
If I were to dive in head first at producing music from scratch, I would likely have a terrible time doing it. Some of the worst producers out there are not bad when it comes to creativity, they are bad because they don’t know how to get a certain sound to come from their head and onto their digital audio workstation. Many times, they will find something that is close to what they want – yet it is only a lesser version of what they were trying to create. This would likely be my problem as well. Having the ideas doesn’t get you any closer to what you want to do sometimes. Traktor Remix decks basically taking the learning process out of mixing music, but it does so in a non-linear way that makes it easier to learn. You can start with music that you already know mixes together pretty well, or you can actually craft bits and pieces from multiple songs and sound like a remix God. This is not something I would recommend for those who are just learning how to mix songs. I think it makes much more sense for those who have mixing skills who simply want to produce quickly. http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2014/07/bluffers-guide-to-traktors-remix-decks-part-2/
