I went to a real mosque for Jummah for the first time today. It was a beautiful experience. I met a fellow American revert and when they got to the dua, it was for Palestine, Sudan, the Congo, etc.

I just took my shahadah, with the help of someone from @reverthelp. I’m so full of emotions. I’ve spent the past two years studying Islam, but the whole time I’ve been too afraid to commit to it despite believing in Allah. Talking it out, I realized that I was letting pointless fears stop me from doing what I needed to do. I almost cried from joy and relief, no longer having to fight what I’ve felt for so long. I’m still trembling, and I’m so full of hope. I have so much to learn about Islam, but I’m finally ready.

Salaam! I am Kaji, and this is my sideblog for Islam. I am a neurodivergent Latino transmasc nonbinary trixic revert. I do not consider myself Sunni, Shi’a, Ahmadiyya, etc. but if I had to choose a term for how I’d describe myself, I’d say Sufi.
