It is getting colder here, so seems like a good time to mention that I make hats (and occasionally other things) and sell them. I use a variety of yarns to keep them all from being super expensive, but my favorites are local fibers and/or hand-dyed yarns, so there’s a lot of unique items in the shop. Custom orders welcome!
Cabled band hats: featuring a wide complex cable, lined with alpaca or another very soft yarn around the ears and forehead.
Tams: a narrower cable, lined for softness, with a slouchy top.
Cabled rib hats: simple vertical cables alternating with ribbing for maximum comfort and flexible fit.
Scrap hats: in the ribbed cable style, made from leftover bits of yarn for a delightful patchwork effect. Each is completely unique, since I’ll never have that combination of yarn scraps again.
Ear warmers: a cabled band lined with a soft yarn.
Pride hats: in the cabled rib style. Options include all-over pride flags, a subtler version, and a stealth option with the flag colors hidden inside the band.
