Hmm... I'd love to see Glit or Flowspade if you'd like to draw them!
I unfortunately didn’t find a good reference for Flowspade so I put a lil extra effort into Glit

The drawings of the Kiss Players in their robot forms! (Excuse the low quality of the camera; this was taken on my laptop.)
= - = - =
ATARI HITOTONARI - TECHCROSS
TRANSFORMATION QUOTE: "Techcross, TRANSFORM!"
Loves sweets despite being vegetarian
Good with research and technology
Easily terrified of everything (but manages to flesh herself out and be brave later on...)
Overpowered and couldn't control it, plus dealing with a power unfamiliar to her (that power being Techbreaker, and also the ability to create spirit balls of spatial void...)
First character drawn for this rewrite before getting to the others, after all, she is kind of the story's main protagonist if you think about it, especially when you look into the tropes that make up her fighting style and also character.
= - = - =
MARISSA FAIREBORN - HIBISCUS
TRANSFORMATION QUOTE: "Hibiscus, TRANSFORM!"
#1 Optimus Prime Fangirl
Pure definition of genki
Born to sing
Eats human food because she's a human (or really, regardless of what form you take, the person is still human and can still eat human-made food)
Fast Runner (a la Joseph Joestar... "RUN AWAY!")
= - = - =
SHAOSHAO LI - KICKBACK
TRANSFORMATION QUOTE: "Kickback, TRANSFORM!"
Has very high kicks (obviously)
Loves bao buns so much, but doesn't have the chance to eat one
Will kill anything if it goes against her own "code of honor" (or really, anyone who dares lay a finger on those she's close to, she will annihilate them)
Terrified/Has a fear of anything with tentacles (and in the drawing, just an octopus wanting to say Hi to Shaoshao)
FUN FACT: She was initially going to be paired with Hot Rod (like she did with Rodimus in the original), but was changed to Dinobot because of more interesting dynamics and wriggle room to write some interesting dialogue.

THE KISS PLAYER COMPACTS!
The typical item that you'd see in any magical girl show: The magical compact! Here in the Kiss Players Rewrite, it grants the user, typically a human girl with some association with a Cybertronian, to transform into a giant Cybertronian robot, a la magical girl style (with magical girl transformations and magical upgrades to boot).
ATARI'S COMPACT: Basic design for a compact, blue and white, with some technological aspects to it to sell the techno, almost webcore aesthetic to it.
MARISSA'S COMPACT: Basic design, except it's pink and cutesy, with hearts on it symbolizing Marissa's passion, or it's just selling the pink-girlypop aesthetic, which still works.
SHAOSHAO'S COMPACT: The only design that takes allusion to Hot Rod/Rodimus, fire patterns, and a red-and-orange color palette, not only is it very Hot Rod/Rodimus, but it also symbolizes Shaoshao's fiery temper if left untreated, and also sells the idea that, if she's given any form of magical-type, she's definitely fire-based.

KISS PLAYER MAGICAL-TRANSFORMATION UPGRADES! (KISS PLAYER UPGRADES, FOR SHORT!)
FUSIONS: Not an upgrade, as it is a feature of being a Kiss Player, but anyway, it's easily explainable; it's sort of like Fusions in the original Kiss Players mixed up with the Fusions from Steven Universe. Basically, how it works is that one Cybertronian and one Kiss Player can fuse together to make a form that combines both partners' powers into one, creating a formidable opponent/fighter. Example: Borboletta/Malva-1 (Fusion between Elita-1 and Hibiscus/Marissa Faireborn), Velocikick/Dinokick (Fusion between Dinobot and Kickback/Shaoshao Li), and Starcross/Techscream (Fusion between Starscream and Techcross/Atari Hitotonari)
CASSETTES: Ah, yes! The Cassettes! Consisting of Popstar Rosanna, Medic Glit, and Tetrahex Ripper Sundor/Sunder. How they work is kind of similar to how the magical girl transformations in Heartcatch Precure work, albeit differently, of course. They would have a device that looks similar to a cassette player, called a "Kiss Deck", that would have the holder of the deck emit a glow, and then have that glow transferred over to their respective Cassette, where they say a phrase and then transform into their cassette forms, letting the holder take their cassette, say their own transformation quote, and then place the cassette into the Kiss Deck, initiating their transformation. The changes that come with the transformation are pretty minor, outside of weaponizing certain parts of their body to make good weapons out of, like a bladed leg for Shaoshao or a multi-barrel shotgun arm for Marissa (inspired by Polyurethane and Polyester's weapons from NEW Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt).
SPARKBOTS: My Aspect babies! Consisting of Girlypop Lion Angela, Stoic Falcon Zangetsu, and Insecticon Star Dust. How they work is that, when the Sparkbots are in their ball form, to initiate the transformation, the person must draw a symbol onto it with a special drawing implement, typically a paintbrush (the Spark Brush), a marker (the Spark Marker), or even a digital artist's pen (the Spark Pen), whatever it is, when the user draws their respective symbol and says their transformation quote, the Sparkbot in their ball form would launch themselves upward, transform into their own forms, and then shine a beam of light that engulfs the user, initiating the transformation (in a similar manner to the transformations in Kira Kira Precure a la Mode). Much like the Cassettes, changes are pretty minor, but in the sense that the user emits a hue that corresponds with the color of the Sparkbot, like Pink for Angela or Green for Star Dust, alongside having the Sparkbot beside them as a keychain/charm connected to the user's hip, and the symbol they've drawn on the bot being on their chest.

If you think that's not enough magical stuff for these girls to have, don't you worry, I have more currently in its testing stages, and if you think none of them have anything to do with kisses, don't you worry, I have just the thing that can live up to its original concept and bring in a design concept/idea that was featured in many other magical girl shows, another form of makeup outside of the compact.
But enough hinting, hope y'all like this dump of lore and concepts, and also like the low-quality pictures of the girls and their magical robot forms, and I hope y'all have a good day.
pov: you and your amica find a weirdass baby in the dead end, +1
aka more art of my silly au where ravage and drift/deadlock find a very young glit and decide to take him into their little group and raise him. surely this will not end in tears. surely.
No school, just cassettes
Delayed update (I forgot XD), but the rest of the chibis! Days 21-28
Hey! Quick question, not towards the girls but to Hanenohara herself, or just the owner of the blog, that's who I am directing this ask to...
So... The Cassettes and the Sparkbots...
In the original Kiss Players, the Cassettes have some personality to them, but aren't all that special, and the Sparkbots are just so barebones in personality and lore, they're just reduced to "party drunks" and "very evil".
Now, aside from the banter, what or who are the Cassettes and Sparkbots in your rewrite?
Ah, yes! The Cassettes and the Sparkbots! Now this is some good shit... Anyway, so, before I discuss both subjects, I must have to address my personal elephant in the room:
So, you know how Rosanna and Angela are automatically the cassette and sparkbot of Marissa? And we know that from both Rosanna's and Angela's color palette, in comparison to Marissa's, right? Well, I thought that was simple for the other two, but apparently, not so much.
Glit and Zangetsu are both white (or off-white since, in some art, they have a blue or purpleish glow, blue for Glit and Purple for Zangetsu), and I personally thought that those two would be Atari's just by color palette (and also because Zangetsu is a Japanese name and the idea of Glit being Atari's kitty-cat medic), but nope, both of them were Shaoshao's. But do you know who is actually Atari's cassette and Sparkbot? Sundor and Star Dust. Neither of them is even the same color palette as Atari, Sundor's orange, and Star Dust's green. What do they have to do with Atari other than that Atari's voice actress designed both of them? Well. I found a solution.
And that's where I am getting to.
THE CASSETTES IN THE KISS PLAYERS REWRITE LORE!
= = = =
MARISSA FAIREBORN'S CASSETTE AND SPARKBOT
Rosanna - The famous Autobot popstar who can transform into a cassette-playing karaoke machine or just a plain cassette, she, in the rewrite, is an icon in both Cybertronian and Earth spheres. Mainly recognizable by humans for being the star robot form for "Cassette Girl Rosie", which leads to both Marissa and Rosanna being a good match, as Marissa is a massive fangirl and Rosanna is her idol.
Angela - The Sparkbot Lion, she's basically Marissa's pet lion while also being a connoisseur of, what Angela puts it, "the most girliest human fashion ever", that being an avid reader of Japanese fashion magazines, avid player of dress-up games, and just everything girly, even owning a few Polly Pockets or some other girly toy at the time. While Rosanna is potentially a representation of Marissa wanting to be not just a famous popstar but a famous Robot popstar at that, Angela is potentially a representation of Marissa's personal journey to achieving it, or just a representation of Marissa's stereotypical love for pink and girly things, especially from the 2000s.
SHAOSHAO LI'S CASSETTE AND SPARKBOT
Glit - The Decepticon-turned-Autobot kitty-cat medic who can transform into a cassette head cleaner or just a plain cassette, he, in the rewrite, is formerly the medical assistant to a lot of medics, both Autobot and Decepticon, and is only with Shaoshao as she found him in a Cybertronian alleyway and decided to take care of him. Despite his medical profession, Glit wouldn't hesitate to try every alcoholic beverage Earth has to offer, because, according to Glit, compared to Energon wine, if a Cybertronian were to try a human alcoholic beverage, it wouldn't make them drunk, so it's technically safe to drink. Contrary to his belief, he does indeed get wasted off of those things, leading to Shao and Dinobot having to sober him up 24/7, so that's a bummer... ANYWAYS-
Zangetsu - The Sparkbot Falcon, much like Angela, he's basically Shaoshao's pet falcon while also being an expert in Japanese mythology, because, funnily enough, before I handed the Sparkbots to the girls, he wasn't originally going to be Shaoshao's but in fact Atari's, but Shaoshao got to him first, leaving me with no choice but to give Star Dust to Atari, but that's just a bit of Hanenohara banter for you, do ignore unless you're that into the lore. But aside from that, too long; didn't read, Zangetsu is Shaoshao's (and also Dinobot's) Japanese history teacher.
And now, we get to some rather disturbing territory, as this involves an infamous character from the More Than Meets The Eye IDW Transformers comics... BE WARNED.
ATARI HITOTONARI'S CASSETTE AND SPARKBOT
(Instead of the Cassette-Sparkbot order, Atari's a special case, as she, in this post, will have the Sparkbot-Cassette order. Not because she obtained her Sparkbot differently compared to the others, no, no... It's because of the "cassette" she was "partnered" with...)
Star Dust - The Sparkbot Insecticon (surprisingly), he is not just a Sparkbot given by me to the girls to enhance their powers; he's also a fragment of Starscream's good soul given form and power, meant to give Atari a form of comfort and confidence while she fights monsters and threats beyond human comprehension. And the thing about Sparkbots in this rewrite, they're not servants of Unicron as they were in the original; they are creations of Spark and Aspect, or a fragment of someone or something, made by me, Arita Hanenohara, as essentially "magical girl upgrades", like how in some magical girl anime, the girls get new magical items to achieve greater power and also cuter outfits/forms. But that aside, Star Dust is a Sparkbot made of Spark and Starscream Aspect, all rolled up with some bug matter to create Star Dust.
And now... We get to the most disturbing bit of lore this rewrite could ever offer, outside of the Legion's parasitism on Starscream and the body horror that may occur, the abuse Atari went through at the hands of Amao Hitoshizuku and Ringo Shizuma, and everything else that was yet to be written, but this?
Oh, Prime, bless our souls...
