Recent and Ongoing Discovery
Very interesting discovery which is leading scientist to believe that there is a subterranean reservoir of water beneath the 'upper mantle' of the earth's crust in the 'transitional zone' - which seems to hold as much water, if not more then all the earth's oceans combined. - it interests me as it coincides in amazing ways with the Biblical account of the flood and how the Bible explains how God created the earth. "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. The world and all it's people belong to him. For he laid the earth's foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths." Psalms 24:1-2 Is that last part just WILD and amazing? Then of course in Genesis 7:11 we saw how the flood occurred with God opening up the 'windows of heaven' but how the waters erupted from the earth or 'all the fountains of the great deep we're broken up'. It remains a valid question of where all this water could come from to cover the whole earth on up to the highest heights. Just thought this fascinating and for what it's worth thought I'd share a little bit about it.
