Hi all, we rounded up a bundle of links of bike zine's onto our resources page on our website. Ideally we'd like to create a list of bike zines that are available digitally for free or for purchase, like a bike zine library (something we are currently working on). Bicycles are a critical form of transportation right now and while we love seeing companies rise up to meet the needs of our frontline workers, the push for equitable access is more important than ever too. We ask folks to help close the digital divide of access to these types of aid. Let's be sure to connect this to local grassroots orgs, local bike shops, union orgs, rural towns and community centers where low-income and bilingual front line workers may not have access to digital means of accessing this type of information and aid. . Let's also not forget that working people deserve a relief and recovery bill that truly places them first. While much has been said about the sacrifices and heroic efforts of essential workers at this moment, little has been done for these workers and their communities. As a result, workers continue to be required to work without protective gear. Sick workers continue to lack access to paid sick leave. And, when workers try and speak up for themselves and each other they are fired. Workers are dying as a result. Even a global pandemic has not been enough for policymakers to place the needs of working people ahead of corporate and advocacy interests. America’s workers are being forced to wait for a fourth relief bill for meaningful worker protections. Or, in the case of the airline industry workers, are being required to fight again for protections they thought that had won in the third relief package. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Enough is enough. Workers are risking their lives every day to provide the services we have deemed to be essential.
