mmhh yeah there was a long time where i blogged like that too

but tbh there's this incredible feel of satisfaction to me when i get home and put my wifi on and have like a bunch of notes

ikr, that post has been annoying me for a few days now. like..... YES please do commemorate black performers from the 20s because they laid the foundations for jazz, rock and pop as we know it and SHOULD have huge cultural capital - but they often don't because hey guess what white performers directly stole from them :(((

in fact a few years ago i made a playlist of black female blues/early rock n' roll players and singers from the 20s onwards who are still overlooked and it's called ladies sing and play the fucking blues

I usually draw the stupidest shit on the first page of my sketchbooks idk it takes the pressure off. Then again it’s a moleskine. Moleskines are stressful.
