KS is a really horrific thing and if you are doing art for it please please tag it as much as you can because it messes up trauma survivors. :(

of course - i wouldn’t post that without proper tags, especially since some of my followers found this blog thru various trauma or ptsd related artworks. tbh, KS generally seems rly shitty towards trauma survivors (especially lgbt ones), so i’m not too fond of it, but... i still relate to bum a bit, so i felt like drawing him.

You know, looking at things…. It’s really about who you surround yourself with, isn’t it? I can completely understand why ptsd is more likely to develop in people who don’t have any support or someone to trust. The way my friends reacted is…. I still fell dirty and gross and yea okay, the ptsd has been here before, but! The level of healing you can reach when you’re surrounded by people who want to help and who trust you and want to protect you and make things better? It’s such a stark difference. And I am so grateful.

Yesterday my coworker just straight up came up to me and gave me three donuts. Why did she do that

It's difficult to see the ways in which you are getting better, once you start trying. It feels like you keep trying and failing, and it hurts so much, because none of the memories ever fade or stop influencing you. It feels like a never-ending descent into the darkest parts of yourself.

But then you look back on how you were and how you felt three months, six months, a year, two years back - and the difference is so tangible and real that you could weep. You still aren't okay but maybe there is something more, some other ways you could be better without even realising at the time. And that... Fills me with hope and terrifies me at the same time.

Uh. I have a lot of hair and it's pretty healthy and stuff, but the last week or so i started spotting a grey hair here and there? I... Are my silver fox days finally here?

I think I've been getting bad again? But I'm not sure if I care enough to stop it this time

sometimes i try to connect the dots and remember who i am, try to recall, searching through the fog - what do i like? and i can’t remember. i’m sure i read a really good book last week and i’ve seen a movie that made me weep, but they’re disappearing. and through the haze, only one answer comes; you, you, you. sometimes it feels like i am you more than me, or maybe i’d like to be. but it’s always... it’s always us.
