@trcnsitioncl asked: "Let him be mad if mad is what he needs." / from tyrion to myrcella?? QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BRIDGERTON STORY.
she does her best ot hide the chuckle that escapes her lips, however brief it is and their words are their own to be heard. though she worries retribution, as her uncle often seems to be mistreated by others, mostly because they do not like that his words are sharper than any sword. "but dear uncle, joffrey is always mad. he will make his own head hurt if he keeps so. mother indulges him far too much."
if joffrey is mad, then he must have a reason, she is told. that simply feels too silly for her taste. her mother mother is a wise woman but her brother is too irrational at times, and she grows concerned by the day. "I worry for our family, uncle. people whisper and I fear what they will do." and what they would do to her. because girls are not girls in these type of wars and she is not as cunning as her mother is.
@trcnsitioncl ;; sentence starters (still accepting) Bruce said: "The ratio is suspect, is all I have to say."
STEVE LOOKS AT HIS PILE OF STRAWBERRIES, then at Bruce's (much smaller) pile. "No, no, believe me, it's exactly 50/50," he says with the air of someone who has never lied once in his whole life, and frankly, would anyone really accuse Captain America of saying anything but god's honest truth? He shifts in his seat, trying to suppress the grin that threatens to appear on his face as he carefully guards his favorite fruit in the world. Okay, so, the ratio might be 60/40. Or maybe 70/30. It's definitely anything but 50/50, and both of them know it. "I would know; I had, like, 8 years of school, Bruce," Steve adds, picking a strawberry up and eating it and then trying and failing in shoving two more into his mouth. "But now that you mentioned it, I think my pile is a little smaller…"
@trcnsitioncl sent ❛ i hope you haven’t been standing out in the cold this whole time. ❜ / tyrion, maybe post-series, to sansa? when he's coming through visiting the wall again
she shook her head, a slight smile playing on her lips. "no, i found myself quite a comfortable spot by the fire while i waited." of course, sansa hadn't expected for tyrion to be on time. after all, there was quite a lot to get distracted by on his way here. when she'd heard he was coming, she'd walked the short distance to meet him. the wind billowed through the threes and stirred up the light dusting of snow beneath their feet. "how are you finding the improvements? i'm sure you've got much to say about the changes made." she meant the rebuilding they'd done to the walls, as well as some new building outside the bounds of winterfell. sansa was determined to bring some of the world beyond the north home with her, but with their own northern flair.
@trcnsitioncl sent “they got a lot of unexamined father-son baggage” / crowley, to .. afgkdfgd any of your spn muses that want to deal with him tbh, probably commentating on the Winchesters tbh
she hadn't known the winchester's long. actually, she hadn't known the taller one at all before sam had shot her. she couldn't exactly confirm or deny the validity of the man's statement, but she'd had an inkling and maybe an unfair share of her own. "i definitely got that impression." emma didn't blame them, she'd heard a lot just through word of mouth. "god, they've pissed so many people off and it's all because of some ...demon deal or something?" she'd lost track of all the gossip at some point, didn't know what was or wasn't true. the only proof anyone had of the hearsay's truth was that they'd been to hell to begin with. "what'd they do to you?"

002. a cabin in the middle of the woods . / also from steeb
Winter feels sickeningly colder in Europe. Bucky’s long decided that he’ll never take another bone chilling night in Brooklyn for granted ever again. Once they’re home. Cause they’re gonna be. Ain’t no stopping them from going back now. He’ll fight tooth ‘n nail to get em there. Steve’s by his side. Doesn’t matter what he’s gotta do. He made a promise to his Ma a long time ago he wouldn’t let anything bad happen to him. And he’s slipped on it a few times. If you count some of the worst fights Steve got himself into before he showed up. Or never did cause he wasn’t there and had to patch him up after.
But this one? Yeah. He’s gonna do every damn thing he can to make sure he doesn’t let her down this time. That includes calling the search mission for two soldiers that went AWOL a little short when whatever hellishly awful blizzard starts moving over their heads. Dumping snow that started out navigable but turned into white out conditions sooner than Steve seemed to wanna stop.
Lucky for them, they found an abandoned house, cabin. Something between the two. No one’d been in it for a while. Judging by the bullet marks and dark stains in the wood on the porch? Bucky doesn’t want to ask why either. They’re inside now. Even got a few blankets to wrap up in. Protected from the elements and warm as they’re gonna get.. It’s him that cracks the silence first.
“Haven’t seen anyone since yesterday. Don’t know but I’m hoping we find ‘em come morning. Or I’m kickin’ their asses for putting us through this,” an uneven grin and he shoots Steve a stare that says he’s more worried they’re gonna come up empty handed than he wants to say out loud.
@trcnsitioncl gets a starter for Matt
IT'S A STORMY, OVERCAST DAY when Steve steps out of the DA's office in midtown Manhattan, now officially no longer a traitor to the United States of America and welcome on American soil. He expected questions, conditions, something, but the stressed-out attorney shoved the legal paperwork into his hands and then hurried to another meeting. Steve guesses something mundane like not signing the Sokovia Accords pale when faced with half of Earth's population turning into dust.
He turns north, face lowered against the sharp wind. Instead of the usual busyness, the streets are empty and gray. Dry leaves and broken glass from smashed shop windows scrunch beneath his shoes as he walks past the subway station and toward Columbus Circle. He doesn't know what makes him stop, but he ends up in front of a looming brick building with a copper sign declaring it Clinton Church. He stares at the massive oak doors for maybe a minute before the cold wind and an unexplainable tug in the pit of his stomach push him to enter.
It's only dimly lit and smells of dust and granite, which is a comfort, somehow. Steve walks down the aisle, hands in the pockets of his coat, and then sits in the third pew, looking at the altar and Jesus suffering on his cross. He wonders if God will ever forgive him for failing so spectacularly. He wonders if the sickening knot in his chest will ever go away.
A door snaps shut, startling Steve out of his apathetic staring. He turns his head to find another man about his age (well, his biological age, at least) walking down the cloister. He’s swiping a cane back and forth, and before Steve can think about it, he quickly gets to his feet: “Careful, there’s a sconce at eye level to your right.”
@trcnsitioncl ;; shit my friends say (still accepting) Bruce said: "Therapy isn't enough, I need to conduct a dangerous science experiment that challenges god." / bruce is cranky about something lmfao
APPARENTLY, BRUCE GOT UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF BED TODAY. Steve doesn't know what's bugging him exactly, but he's sure to take advantage of it. "You know what would challenge God big time?" he asks, then gestures toward their tiny little strawberry plants happily swimming in their weird water thing, no dirt, no soil, which in itself is kinda challenging how God intended things to be. "Science-ing them up so they'll grow faster and bigger until we're swimming in strawberries like Donald Duck swimming in his money. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about: I read the Bible more than once."
