I like that Mordin Solus says that Krogans have been attracted to him before because there's no way they let a Salarian anywhere near the female clans. Somewhere out there is a kinky gay Krogan who got politely turned down by famous Salarian scientist Mordin Solus

So we can explode the space station with millions of Geth on it, or we can use a computer virus to make them not be evil anymore.

Mordin Solus: "If geth are alive, reprogramming kinder than destroying. Like Genophage. Change, not death. Unless rewriting into obedience is immoral... Thoughts?"

Truly he always gets into these kinds of moral conundrums... Love his little "Thoughts?" at the end

At the end of Mass Effect 2 I couldn't decide whether to blow up or study the derelict evil space station

Luckily my favourite guy and moral philosophy expert Mordin Solus was like,

"We can't blow it up, too much is at stake! We have to study it, to save the galaxy!"

So of COURSE I didn't blow it up because Mordin is my trusted advisor and I spent the entire game just doing what he wanted whenever he had an opinion 🥰

Very rude, then, that after the mission he was like,

"I sure hope you know what you're doing... not blowing up that space station... idk idk, risky move..."

Idk if I have posted about this Mass Effect 2 moment before, but I think the moment Mordin Solus went from "he's pretty cool" to "o shit he might be fave material" in my head was on the prison ship where you recruit Jack

I had Garrus and Mordin with me, bc Garrus was my fav, I knew him from ME1, and his recruiting mission was extremely cool.

When you see how the prisoners are treated, Garrus doesn't have much of a reaction since they are evil murderers and all.

But Mordin says, "Inhumane. Unacceptable. Violation of basic organic dignity."

And I fell in love instantly

Mordin really is way more principled and moral than his character concept had me believe. Really expected more of a "ends justify the means" mad scientist but he doesn't even do human experiments or anything!

"No tests on species with members capable of calculus. Simple rule, never broke it."

Holy shit are you telling me Mordin will actually tell you he isn't interested in romance? I just assumed he simply wasn't a romance option (which I guess he isn't), I didn't expect the game to acknowledge it!!

This is great, since I actually AM in love with him. He caught me. Very immersive
