I think about this an amount, this is everything
It's Trey's BDay!
Ahhhh what a happy boi
Alright show off queen hells yeah.
Hey so I haven't really posted in a while on here but I js wanna waffle on about trying to figure out what biology Trey has goin on with him so sit back because it's gonna be a long one
So I got this really interesting thought while in biology about how Trey seems to be an animal and a plant at the same time (a plantimal if you will) and it kinda got me curious about how he would function as an actual creature. I went to his wiki page to find some facts about him that could help me in discovering what his species can do. So basically here’s what I figured out abt him + some sizes of what I think Trey could possibly be inspired off of:
Ignore the text at the bottom definitely nothing to worry about
I highlighted what could possibly help me figure out this creature’s biology and wrote down what I could infer about Trey’s species and how they work:
Assuming Trey is a mammal from the cafe dialogue where he tells the player he can keep his hands warm in his pocket, which might infer that he is warm blooded, I needed to figure out how he is able to photosynthesise and grow leaves on the top of his head.
Problem is, there is only one known vertebrate that can photosynthesise by utilising the chlorophyll from algae by storing it in its cells. The only way I could think of implementing this into the biology of Trey’s species is that when the embryo/seed is developing inside of a female (I don’t even know help me) she would begin to eat a lot of plant matter in order to harvest the chlorophyll from the plant cells to deliver to the baby, ready to provide them with the chlorophyll needed for photosynthesis.
Also using the fact that he is VERY good at hide and seek, I made a theory that Trey’s species evolved to look like trees in order to camouflage into forests to hide from predators (god knows what’s tryna eat Trey) so they evolved to basically look like a humanoid tree.
Now when I considered his size I first thought he was about like the size of the average Joe. However you prolly can’t hide well if ur not around the same height of a tree!!!!1!11!! (I mean you could but you could just spot the smallest tree there) so doin a little bit of math I tried to estimate what Trey’s height could be by calculating the range of an oak tree’s size (80ft) and dividing it by 6 (he looks like he’d be 6 feet tall), leaving us with 13,3ft (rounded to 1 d.p). Since Trey implies he’s young for his age as his grandfather is 6,000 years old, he might be shorter than that by a couple of feet, so he is most likely: 11.4ft tall. Here’s a diagram of the average Joe compared to Trey and his grandfather I made in the epic size comparison website:
Last thing before I stop here is that there is a café dialogue from Trey stating that he has around eight crows in his leaves. I thought it would be nice if crows and Trey’s species had a symbiotic relationship similar to clownfish and sea anemones; the crows would keep Trey’s leaves free from any pests inside and in return would provide the crows with a safe shelter to nurture their young.
Ok that’s all for now I might draw somewhat scientifically accurate Trey sometime this week thanks for reading don’t forget to liek and subdscribe bye
trey go apologize to vali now. For those wild pitches. Kiss it better. Yeah.
