closed starter for @mayorxgoodwin event 4. estate sale
Trey had woken up earlier than normal the morning of the estate sale. While he typically wasn’t one to buy things secondhand, he figured he would set aside his preconceived notions of how this event would be and at least take this opportunity to size up his neighbors. The actor rolled out of bed and got dressed quickly. He practically scoffed at the notion of selling anything from his house and putting it out on the driveway to be picked over like roadkill. The pretentious actor thought that was way beneath him and definitely humiliating. So imagine his surprise as he walked out the front door and saw his ex-fiance out at the bottom of the driveway with tables set up selling something, a flock of people around him. Trey didn’t know what irritated him more: the fact that Heathcliff had taken it upon himself to sell things from their house or the fact that Heathcliff seemed to be beloved by the town.
He took off his sunglasses to make sure he was seeing this properly, anger coursing through his veins as he stomped down the porch and headed down the driveway, just about ready to scream. As he neared the table he saw some of his own things sitting on a table and being picked over by other neighbors. Not bothering to say anything to Heathcliff, he ran to the table and shooed the neighbors away like they were sea gulls swarming for food at the beach, “Get away, this isn’t for sale” he called out. Trey was irate as most of the neighbors cleared out from their driveway and he turned to Heathcliff, “Why the fuck are you selling my things?” Trey practically spat as he spoke, trying to gather his junk into a box that was under the table. “This is low. Even for you” he seethed. Trey was definitely overreacting as this was a bunch of junk he hadn’t even unboxed since he had moved in, but he was still furious.
