"So, you want to go out with me sometime?"

"Maybe. Do you want me to go out with you sometime?"

Tri: "Great. I'm stuck pairing up with the lesbian and you're stuck pairing up with a guy." Frieda: "We could go girlwatching together." Tri: "I've heard worse ideas."

"I would be honored if you'd come to my place after school tomorrow." "Maybe I will - oh, sorry!" "S'okay, I didn't need that eye anyhow."

Mary Ann's friend Deborah Gavigan has been sending William some completely unmixed signals lately. He's not positive dating her is a good idea...but he's not positive it's not, either. So he compromises and invites her along with a bunch of his friends when they head up to the MMMMC one afternoon.

"That is an excellent outfit on you." "Thanks. The top is a Simdian design." "I wouldn't know. Dad and Billie come from Simdia; I'm Drama Acres to the core. But I can appreciate a good top when I see one on a pretty girl."

Tri decides to be a dickwad and comes up, pretending to try to cut him out with her. Like she can't see straight through him! 

She can see straight through him, right?

"Why the long face?" "Born with it." "No, you weren't. You have a great smile most of the time. C'mon, let's see the smile - " "Hey!" "Oooh, I knew you were ticklish!"

"I wouldn't say ticklish. I'm a sensitive guy, is all. Especially around beautiful women. Like you."

He and Deborah get along so well, he almost forgets about the other people they've come out with. But Pearl isn't one to be ignored by her favorite uncle.

"Told you that dress was made for dancing. How'm I gonna live without those legs when you're gone?" "You used to live without my legs just fine." "I was a little boy then."

"No, Tri, you aren't getting any booze!" "Oh, come on, man! Who's gonna know? Or care?" "Your old man when you come home and he smells it on you.I could get shut down for serving minors. I could be shut down for serving as a minor. Leave it alone!"

"What if I beat you up and took it? Nobody could shut you down for being robbed." "Everybody'd know I took a dive. Skinny dude like you, beating up a buffalicious guy like me? No way!"

"William!" "Sorry, got carried away there. It's about closing time anyhow. Let me shut the place up and I'll walk you home." "I'll walk with Random, thanks." "Mary Ann -" "I'm not mad, just tired, and so are you. No reason for you to go all the way upslope just to come down again."

Mary Ann's right, he is awfully tired. He hasn't been sleeping well since Mama died. Tonight, though, he's finally exhausted enough to fall straight to sleep, and nothing but good dreams all night.

Susana keeps her eye on current events, looking for the rumored restaurant to start hiring. They've lost a lot in the disaster, and she doesn't feel right hanging around here glaring at Bev and feeling sorry for Tosha all day.

She feels a little sorry for Bev’s oldest, Tri Ku, also. Like Jamesina, he’s not related to Bev’s husband, and he never did a thing to deserve having her for a mother.

We will  now resume posting the dying gasps of Drama Acres.

I found I couldn’t bear not to send one last age cohort to college, so I went back to all the households with teens I wished to send , called for scholarships, and sent them, in two households, along with a townie Tri Ku as been dating. I forgot all about Randy London, but  it doesn’t matter that much, since all I did was change their clothes. I didn’t even change appearance on any of these, though Camryn and Spring will be hard to tell apart until I do. Um, would be until I did if I were going to - you know what I mean.

Nate is getting to know the other kids in the compounds better. Too many guys, not enough cute girls. But of course, one of the cute girls is right here in the compound with him.

Jim figured, since Amy was already here, they might as well have the rest of the family over. He hardly sees his old frat brother Orlando anymore, he's so busy at work. So they come over and Dirk gets up to meet AJ and Maria Casilda. Tina starts getting along better, but Amy decides to take the girls home just as Dirk was inviting Maria Casilda to play chess with him. So Tina takes him out and lets him throw balls at her head. The teens all stayed late because I forgot to have Tri release the outing. So did Orlando. Tri seems very interested in what he has to say about meeting new people (it's not how to pick up girls - Orlando doesn't know a thing about that) over leftover cereal in the wee hours of the morning. I think Guadalupe's missed the last bus back to Drama Acres. Shucky darn, won't be on hand to change diapers at three in the morning, too bad about that!

The Spitzigs live right next door to Estebanico - Jim and Estebanico are best friends and even roomed together after college (Jim was the one who got to tell Anna Copur the truth when she made a date callback during the wedding party), and despite a certain amount of early disagreement over territorial rights in Bad News Bev, since Jim went insane and married her everybody's good friends. Even Bev and Tosha. Bev is even a pretty good wife when Jim's at home, which of course he is on a Sunday. Tri, who is actually closer to his stepdad Jim than he is to his Mom, is old enough to take on a few responsibilities, so he's the one unclogging the commode at eight in the morning. Bev spontaneously decides to make omelettes for breakfast. Jim is enjoying sleeping in after their dream date the previous night. Tri, in the absence of any better prospects, spends the morning hanging around with his little brother Dirk, but in the afternoon he gets his best friend William Ghote downtown to shoot some pool at the bowling alley, and William brings his niece Guadalupe Newson - unfortunately with her new boyfriend Dave Ottomas trailing after her. Tri is anxious for his first date, and cruises Camryn Raemon semi-successfully; but then I saw Tina Traveller come onto the lot and walk right up to Ryker Thayer - who is only not actively hitting on teens because I don't have a hack to enable it. Suddenly I see Tina's whole future flash before my eyes, and it's not pretty. So I distracted her by having Tri greet her and ask her to join the group. He can cozy up to townie girls later, when Tina's grown up out of his own reach. Tina's sad life continues. She kept trying to vamp Tri, and he kept refusing and noogying her.
