Boho by nature, she was born into this. Generations of women before her had played outside the box. She had no where else to turn, but inward, to find her style...

TRIBAL CHIC 2013
This year's annual charity fashion show will be held on Saturday 14th December from 6pm onwards and will feature the following designers:
Adele Dejak
Mille Collines
Nike Kondakis
Niku Singh
Penny Winter
Sheila Amolo
All proceeds raised at the event are in aid of SASA designs by the deaf which is a non-profit jewelry line handcrafted by Deaf artisans in Rongai. Using a mix of local materials and limited imported components, the team of artisans are trained to create fashion-forward designs with a hint of the unique African aesthetic. Most of the Deaf women have never had a formal job beyond cleaning people's houses. They have spent their lives being told they are worthless and forced to depend on the charity of family and the community at large. Working with Sasa Designs offers them sustainable, fair wages alongside skills training and exposure to business principles and design. Upon joining the team they learn they are gifted, skilled and have the potential to support themselves and their children. They take great pride in each piece of jewelry they create, and are very grateful for every person who wears their creations!
Sheila Amolo, one of the designers being featured is an up and coming young Kenyan designer who is being sponsored by Tribe to participate in the show giving her a platform to launch her talents.
