Hi! So I was wondering how you found out about Teen Wolf and what got you hooked. Do you have any predictions and opinions you have on what's needed to improve? I would like to know. :)
So my roommate Sami and I were looking for something new to watch and I had been on a TON of roleplay blogs that used Dylan and Hoechlin as faceclaims so I was obviously interested in seeing it just based on their prettiness. When I found out it was Teen Wolf I was immediately skeptical (I'm not a fan of MTV shows, and I was under the impression it would further the newest trope about romanticizing aspects to gothic horror like TVD and Twilight) so we started watching it as a joke, honestly. We HARDCORE made fun of it, but after watching a few episodes we sort of got into it and now... well here I am. :)
Predictions? I honestly am interested in seeing the new Japanese character be Scott's love interest. That would be fantastic, but also I'm worried that she might make him into the new Derek. By that I mean, anytime we see creatures that are NOT werewolves they usually are demonized (at least at first or in some way for some like Banshees and Druids). To me that means they might not know this girl is a kitsune and so we could have Scott falling for a girl that could turn out to be a bad guy like every girl in Derek's love life.
I could be wrong too, like maybe she's from a family or pack of kitsunes and she feels a pull towards Scott and wants to help him. That could be super cute, but I doubt it since I feel like Scallison is end game and making a girl fall hard for Scott would be bad. If it happened they'd have to kill her off.
(Once again, all speculation)
I love analyzing Teen Wolf, honestly, its so much fun to use my degree on it and break it down and try and plot out how Davis might take it. Some of my predictions are correct (I totally called the Darach being able to shapeshift) but most of it is just in good fun like any other bit of speculation.
I also don't see Stilydia happening, honestly. It might, but I think that the better form of their relationship right now is how Stiles is finally seeing her as a person and less as a goddess while Lydia is learning how great of a guy Stiles can be. Sure this could lead to a relationship, but that wouldn't really feel right in my mind. They've grown so mature about each other since season one, and I feel like them getting together would break that. This is something beautiful that Davis has created to show that some people just aren't romantically compatible, but they can TOTALLY be compatible in other ways.
Derek IS going to come back, guys. I honestly don't know why they had him leave in the first place when they'll probably bring him right back in ep 13, but oh well.
Cora is still sort of strange, to me. There's something about her that needs to be cleared up... seven years to be precise. I was hoping she'd turn and you'd find out SHE was part of the Alpha pack and that she was trying to take Derek's alpha-ness the whole time. That would have been spectacular as a plot twist, (especially when I was convinced she was the one who told the alphas about Boyd's plan to electrocute them. Let's be real, there's no reason for them to have cut the power unless they had known and Cora was the only wildcard that might have told them.)
Otherwise I'm just excited to see new stuff. I'm sort of miffed that we're moving away from Celtic lore, but I DO love Japanese myths so I'm really hoping it works.
