Sophia’s shoes had been tossed in the sand and her shorts rolled up. Long tan legs smoothly moved along the water as waves crashed against her skin. She could see a figure in the distance as she made her way along the shore. “Hey.” She called out when she was within speaking distance. “Do you know why the mermaid wore seashells?”

“All these new royals and I’m still waiting on the new eyeshadow palette and foundation my brother is supposed to be getting me. How am I supposed to keep my new year’s revolution of working out without makeup that will support me?”

Jack nodded at the person nearing him in the canteen. “I decided if I got asked one more time where the canteen was I was going to lose it. So I figured better safe inside of it where I can enjoy the food and the atmosphere - until all the new royals do in fact find it.”

“Come on now,” Chase laughed, turning as he grabbed his shirt, setting to throw it on over his head. “If you’re going to stare, at least wipe the drool off your face.”

Casimir was adjusting, albeit slowly. As he sat in the Canteen, leaning his arms against the table in front of him, his hand rubbed his forehead. Cursing under his breath, he pushed back, resting against the back of the chair. “I need a fucking drink,” he breathed out, not to anyone in particular.

   Wandering around dazed and confused was Andris’ least favourite look on him; it made him feel weak and vulnerable. But much to his dismay, no amount of power play could remedy or answer the glaring question he had, which was why he had to voice them out loud.

   “I know I wasn’t just unceremoniously taken in the middle of watching Mean Girls on Broadway just to be sent on a vacation, so where the fuck am I?”

Elias remained by the bar, alone, overwhelmed by the mix of fragrances that lingered in the air and the crowds of people scattered on the ballroom floor. The man wasn’t much of a dancer but he probably wouldn’t oppose one if there was a bit more liquor in him. He took a sip of his old fashioned before sliding a generous bill across the marbled counter to the bartender. It was clear he needed some air. Elias rose from the bar stool and swiftly buttoned his suit before making his way to an unoccupied balcony. One which stunningly overlooked the entire island. The pirate took another sip as he felt someone’s presence looming behind him. “Nothing beats this view, huh?” he stated without turning around to greet them just yet.

Starter; open

                  He shouldn’t laugh. It’s impolite, uncouth of a man of his position. What would his mother think if she could see him now? Lips twisted into an ugly, uneven curl as he tried to muffle his snort of laughter. It was a vain attempt, his breath coming out a harsh puff that did oh so little to hide his amusement.

                  Horrible. He was a horrible man to laugh at someone absolutely eating shit on the shoreline. Granted, there was nothing Évariste could have done to stop it; Too much distance between the two, the crown prince only managed to jerk one step forward before they hit the sand. 

                     Shaking off his brief amusement as his conscience finally kicked back into play, the Frenchman jogged the short distance between himself and this poor, unfortunate soul. He took a knee, crouched down and reaching out to help them up- Or at least, off their face. 

                  “Are you alright?”
