14. Your OC finds themselves in your universe and you are their only contact. How well do they handle the adjustment and how would you try to help/hinder/contain them?

We go through the main 6 first, as always. And this reply can be extra long now that it’s a separate thing~

Skye would be so confused, but also pretty eager and easy to handle. Like she’d wanna get back home for sure, cuz heck, she has a family that needs her, but along the way of trying to figure out how to return, she’d be learning as much as possible. She’d be a regular wikipedia dweller as soon as I showed it to her. I’m assuming she’d magically be able to speak English, too. She’d think computers were like the most awesome thing ever, and nothing would really top it. I would help by googling solutions to getting her home and also teaching her how to navigate this world. I bet she would enjoy memes, actually. I’d introduce her to microwavable meals and I think this would be another highlight for her. She would love documentaries and probably cry a bit while watching them because they’d remind her a little of home 

Gill would be probably 3x as anxious about things as Skye. He needs to get home like yesterday, and he’s already decided it’s impossible, but that won’t stop him. Despite this, he’s well mannered, and restrains showing any of this. He’d take some pains to learn cultural differences so he could operate better in this world. When he got more comfortable with the assurance that ‘time isn’t passing there, I promise’ he might chill enough to try and learn all the languages at once. Just for funsies. It’s relaxing. He’d probably act more like a grandma on a computer than Skye. Like not being able to nail down which bar is a search bar and which isn’t so well. Won’t stop writing like it’s a personal letter even when I explain it’s more polite not to. He likes googling things, but shies way far away from it when I explain that there’s bad sources, and he ends up being more of a library gremlin. It’s familiar, yet he can also get books shipped there, and heck, how nice. He probably thinks the lack of magic is total bs, but he keeps watching surgical shows. Probably watches the news 3 days straight when he discovers it, and then is quickly done with it and actually bothers with the computer again whenever there’s something current he’s interested in. Takes notes on everything. Thinks all the paper I have lying around is super cool. Eagerly has a special notebook for stuff he wants to tell people when he gets back. I help in the same way I help Skye, just with more reassurance. Oh, I also tell him that white hair is popular and people dye their hair that way (ON PURPOSE EVEN) so everyone will think he looks cool. He’d appreciate that.

Marth is the actual worst about wanting to get back home, and stays focused on it for much longer, even when I keep saying it’s something only I’ll be able to do for him -once I figure out how- 

My poor son is very anxious for most of his stay as he can’t stop worrying about the others, even when told time won’t move there until he gets back. -I would tell none of them that I wrote them, so I can never quite convince him- I would probably sign him up for the nearest horse therapy thing I could get access to, or just horse riding in general, and that would help actually. He could hold my dog the other times, or visit my niece or cousins. This would help. He’s not a nerd like Skye and Gill, so he wouldn’t get too into the computer, though he’d be really blown away by some technology, I think a lot of it would just seem too similar to magic to him. Though he’d lowkey be really excited that he could use it too. He’d probably force me to do responsible things a lot, though. Like ‘Clean your room or I will remove everything from it and put it outside’ and like 

‘we’ve been sitting inside all day while you stare at that thing’ 

‘I’m researching how to get you back’ 

‘no, this sounds too familiar, no. We’re getting food and also going outside’

‘but don’t you want–’ and then I am forcibly removed from my room. 

I would probably help him by lowkey trying to teach him about mental health things, but he’d sabotage this by only being interested in what people he knows could have. I’d also never be able to leave him alone because he would absolutely go out and continue trying to interact with people as if he was back in his universe despite KNOWING BETTER because I TOLD HIM how to interact with them, but he’s a little troll that way and realizes there’s not many consequences. This is also his tactic to get me outside more. He’s troublesome, but also amaze, I have acquired another dad

Kydin would be really lowkey about how panicked he would be, because he always hides this type of crap, but internally, he’d be freaking out hardcore. Out of everyone, he believes me the fastest when I tell him that time won’t matter. And as soon as I explain things to him, he’s immediately turned all the panic into excitement. He’d drag me out and try to make friends despite me being like ‘uhm, you won’t be able to see them again once you go home so making friends is gonna be heartbreaking’ Nah, he doesn’t care. When someone mentions facebook in his friendship questing, I have to show him computers and facebook, and sign him up. He has like 100 friends the next day. He knows gossip about everyone in my neighborhood, and about people I’ve never heard of. He gets into TV hardcore. He particularly likes dramas, soap operas, comedies, and musicals. The comedy one is odd because he doesn’t get half of what’s supposed to be funny, he just likes the atmosphere of them. He stops me from researching a lot to try and get me to watch a movie with him. When I refuse too much he’d go out to a theater. Eventually he’s applying for jobs so he can go places with his friends. He’s basically started a new life within like 3 months. I ask him if he even wants to go home anymore, and he very genuinely and sentimentally tells me that he can’t wait to return home. He knows more celebrity gossip than I’ve known in my whole life. He knows more gossip about me than I know. When he finally does return home, everything in my community is disrupted. Who will they hire as a babysitter? Who will they get advice from for their woes? Who will help with the charity bake sale? Who will be the friend who you can ask to watch your dog while you’re away no matter how short of notice? WHO WILL CLIMB A TREE TO SAVE THE CAT AND ALSO MIRACULOUSLY SURVIVE THE FALL FROM SAID TREE? 

Nobody knows, we only know that we will never be able to live life the same way again

Ariella is… an interesting one. She sees that she understands nothing of this world, and she’s angry about it. Why do we hug people when we see them after some time apart? What are we? Barbarians? And how can we speak in such a lax manner? Despicable. She will not hear of things like ‘different culture’ and ‘please calm down’ or even ‘it’s probably not super legal to carry around a real sword, oh gosh please stop’ NO, we are the ones who are wrong here. When I tell her that I’ll find a way to get her back, she feels satisfied with this, and somehow this is my actual job now. If I leave for work, it is cause for all kinds of scolding. How dare I. 

Eventually, Ariella has decided that I’m one of the good ones, and there’s not so much scolding, though the sarcasm is more than I can handle anyways. She can never quite figure out how to interact with me in a way that makes me consistently happy, but she tries in her own way. She likes to go out on her own, and inevitably I follow from a distance. The world isn’t ready for her. I wasn’t ready for her. She discovers things like the news, and I show her how to use google, and soon she’s complaining to me about politics and certain laws that I had no idea existed. She does not notice when I have lost interest. 

One day I catch her humming something from Disney, and refuses to answer how she knows it. Another day I hear her singing something from a screamo band. I never tell her that even though she’s singing it like a normal song, I’m well aware it’s from a screamo band.

She thinks running water is the most amazing thing in this world. She watches a lot of makeup tutorials once she discovers youtube. She likes to correct them in the comments. In the end I make her her own account so I don’t lose face. I avoid her a little bit, and she’s okay with this.

James is probably the least concerned about his new surroundings of anyone. He’s used to crap not making sense. He’s more surprised when he figures out it’s real, but still the most chill about this. He gets a job almost immediately, because he’s not okay with me supporting him. He decides his own rent after I keep refusing, and leaves money in my drawer. He’s fairly drawn to TV, but ends up doing a lot of research into his areas of interest. He rarely asks me direct questions and tries and figures things out on his own. After I’d taught him enough to use google, he actually used that for everything, and was the only one who grasped the concept quickly and stuck with it. This doesn’t mean he was at all good at understanding everything, as even google used a lot of terms he wasn’t familiar with, and inevitably I would find him struggling with something and just explain it in simple terms to him. He would always apologize for bothering me. 

After some time he’d figure out that I’m not incredibly wealthy, and act a little more relaxed in some ways, realizing we’re essentially equals. He talks to me a lot more then, and lets me help him more. He starts doing all the yard work, and is really shocked when without prompting I give him permission to have a small garden. Tools like the lawn mower and such kind of frighten him, and at first he tries to avoid using them. With time he ends up really liking them. 

He’s absolutely shocked when he learns that humans and animals are basically all there is. He keeps listing things like ‘centaurs’ and asking if they exist, and has no idea how to handle the fact that they don’t and never have. He finds it sad, and feels like they went extinct instead. 

I would absolutely tell him that his feelings towards Ariella were mutual, and because he’d avoided mentioning a thing about his home to that point, he’d be very defensive and concerned for awhile, but eventually start asking questions. He’d start asking about if magic really didn’t exist here as he tried to figure out how I could know. I’d let him talk to me about everything he had to keep secret and complain as much as he wanted. He would resist at first, but he’d eventually do this quite often. 

He ends up liking cars quite a bit, and is the only one who would be allowed to try and drive them, and aside from Kydin the only one who was very interested in them at all. Y’know, past the normal ‘oh gosh what is that’ stuff.

He’d be the only one to even suspect that I wrote his world and such, but honestly it’s only because I would only need to be open with him about it. He’s the only one who needs that kind of assurance that someone knows all the stuff he’s seen so he can speak freely about it. Ultimately he decides it’s something else though, because even though he’s the most open about being fiction, he ultimately can’t accept it. Particularly since he’s gone through such crap, and he can’t believe someone chilling on a couch with him showing him how to work netflix would be the one who did that.

1. Which OC is the most likely to break the 4th wall?

Cusick, because his story is the most comedy oriented out of them all. And he’s a rebel unlike Romana (also from that story)

2. One OC will protect you, and the others will try to kill you. Which OC would you pick to be your defender?

HEIWA! I’ve confirmed that she’s my most powerful OC in IRP, but she’s also a pacifist. So she could protect me the best, but not hurt my other children. Also who would want to fight her? Not half of my OCs -and if any of them did try to hurt her, you’d get the most OCs turning over to protect /her/ even if they still wanted to kill me-

3. Would you rather live in your OCs’ universe or this one?

I have a computer in this one so…

-having magic would be rad, but alas, like I have time to study it enough to be good-

4. Your OC finds out that you are their creator. How do they react?

Depends which one. Lucky me, most of my OCs are pretty calm about the whole ‘why did you do this to me’ topic, but they’d be less calm about the whole ‘I am fictitious’ thing. Oh dude, James would actually be really mad at me though…

Like he wouldn’t kill me, but he would yell a lot, and I’d probably cry, and then we’d have a very awkward time for a bit there.

Ariella would not believe it no matter the evidence

Marth would be lowkey angry, and I think he’d just kind of ignore me and pretend not to care. 

Skye and Gill would have lots of questions, and be a little hurt

Kydin would be very hurt but also pretty understanding 

Heiwa would be entirely understanding and ask lots of questions

5. What is your noncanon nickname for your OC?

Elizabeth is trash mom, Marth is king dad. Kiba is the garbage man. I think those are all the nicknames I use~

6. What is/would be the fandom nickname for your story?

I don’t know exactly what this means. I’ve never encountered this for any of my fandoms, so I don’t know…

I guess for IRP it might be like ‘And then we walked 500 miles, and then we walked 500 more’ and naturally that’d be ‘we walked’ for short.

7. What is/would be the nickname for a fan of your OC?

Oh gosh, that’s hard. 

I guess anyone who liked Elizabeth or Kiba would have to be Oscar (after the grouch of course) Just a bunch of Oscars. You terrible people. 

Anyone who liked Marth would probably just be called ‘adopted’ lol

8. Which OC is most likely to be called “son”/ “daughter” / “child” by fans?

By fans…? Hn, hard to say, my mind is not so on par with fandom in these things. Because they are all children. All of them. But my guess would be Skye and Gill because they’re the earliest MCs, and probably James because heck, have you seen him? Precious child. 

9. Which OC is most likely to be called “husband” / “wife” / “spouse” by fans?

Hm. James is also a contender here, lol. And Marth for any of the people who are into adultier characters. 

And honestly Ariella should not be a contender for this because she is Angry™ but I know for a fact that there would be a dedicated fanbase for her like this

/Maybe/ Skye when it’s later in the story and she’s really chill, but I feel it’d be much more rare because people tend not to like the really maternal, chill types that much. Her being a dork-nerd might give her a niche following though

10. If you could tell your OC one thing, what would it be?

Something like “You are going to make such a difference. You might not see it now, but you’ll find happiness that you can’t even imagine now, and you’ll accomplish things you never thought possible” Because most my OCs this applies to. However to my trash bag OCs it’d be more like “You don’t deserve any of the joys you experience, and you’re lucky I haven’t decided to give anyone a revenge arc because it goes against some of the theming. So you better feel real lucky” and then I’d make squinty eyes at them

11. What kind of advice would your OC give you?

Oh heck. I can’t paint with a broad brush with this one. James and Kydin’s advice would boil down to ‘Honey, get some friends’ but they’d both say it nicer than that, lol. Gill would tell me to plan for the future. Skye would tell me to spend more time with friends/family, as would Marth. Though I think Marth would have a 2 hour sit down with me about the varying things I could work on if I didn’t seem to grow tired from it. He’d be like ‘focus on your goals a bit more, stop hiding away from people’ and stuff. 

Cusick would give a long winded speech that’d basically be ‘git gud, like me’ 

Ariella would be content with my approach to life actually, which is not a good sign lol. We both be obsessive 

12. Which OC is/would be “woobified” by the fandom?

Gill, probably. Which is very sad considering his arc. And then, absolutely James, and possibly Ariella. I’m actually kind of afraid of what their woobified versions would look like. Because while angst is A+, I would not enjoy seeing them portrayed as entirely helpless. Even when it’s limited, they have enough agency you know

And that is usually used with villains, I know, but… do you get what I mean? For villains I think it would be….. a very spoiler ridden character. Crap. 

13. What song would you sing to audition for the role of your OC?

You think I listen to music??? I don’t know songs, particularly not ironic ones. 

Though ‘I’ll be auditioning for the role of Skye, and I’ll be singing SHOTS’ strikes me as funny. 

For Ariella it’d be ‘I’ll make a man out of you’ for the humor, but also because that’s more accurate than I want to admit. Though I like Guren no Yumiya for her haaa

Marth’s dad would have ‘Heirloom’ by sleeping at last in all honesty. And I say that because it still gives me feelings.

Elizabeth would get Delusion Tax because she’s terrible and deserves it

17. If you could choose to meet one of your OCs in person, who would you pick?

Agh, heck. While I love them a lot, I must admit that most combos wouldn’t work because I am not their type of friend. No matter how polite they are. I might actually pick Skye, because I think of them all, she would like me the most aha. Kydin would also be a good pick because he’s slightly the sort who latches onto people and then just doesn’t leave no matter what. So he’d make the effort to be cool friends.

18. Which OC would you absolutely NOT want to be a real person?

All the main villains of course, but also Elizabeth, Kiba, Kreig, and probably Ariella -sorry my wonderful daughter, but we have enough people asking for the supervisors in this world already-

19. What is your dream medium for your story (book series, video game, comic, movie, cartoon/anime, etc)?

Comic for IRP, Kingdoms, and HS Project. For TCotLM it’s a book. -I didn’t even mention any characters from that, lol-

20. Which OC is the most likely to become a “mascot” for your story?

Skye, because she’s the first MC and has strong presence for all of that story. It’d be Ariella for kingdoms because her design is pretty unique, honestly. Or rather, I draw her in a very unique way. James could easily be the mascot, but he has a weaker presence in that story. Though his emotional range is very wide too…

Likely “Rookie” -need to give him a name- for HS Project because…. energetic and kind of annoying? Sounds like a mascot to me

6. Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?

Hm, I tend to think she usually doesn’t have dreams, but when she did, I bet they’d be a lot more realistic and not so surreal. I can easily see her having a lot of dreams related to her daily routine and stuff, or arguing with people about weird things. I can also see her having a lot of dreams where she’s the only one there, still going through her routine in a completely abandoned world. She probably never mentions any of her dreams to anybody

7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?

Oh! This is funny because he comes from a comedy-horror thing, so yeah! A looooot of it involves being in the woods or there’s a strong presence of trees or forestry. Usually it’s giving a futile attempt to escape. Running away from something comes up a lot.

42. Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?

Awwwww yeaaaaah!

So Skye kinda sees Heiwa as a mother-figure very lightly since they can’t interact so often, but she really looks up to her (Heiwa is Gill’s mom) 

Marth had a father-figure in Zachariah who is in way backstory territory (he’s super dead) but it was the greatest thing ever and I love it

Then Marth goes on to be a father-figure to Kydin -he adopts him keh- and kind of to Gill as well

Kydin kind of father-figures Simon quite a bit too.

Charles is hardcore the father-figure to Ariella, and he used to be that way with James too but semi ‘disowned’ him later on.

In some of my not-canon thoughts, there’s a kid that James semi father-figures as well. Idk if it’ll ever be canon but it’s great. 

I’m avoiding going into detail cuz that’s a lot of relations, but if you want to know any details just ask for the one you want to know ^^

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

Hm, Kydin is the least prepared guy ever, honestly. He’ll usually carry a little bit of money, but that’s like /it/.

His friend gave him a bag to carry stuff with him lately, and so far he’s legit just filled it with stuff for cooking while travelling ^^ ; and sometimes little gifts for Simon. So like, a small pan, some dried herbs, that’s mostly it.

Now that I think about it, his friend also put a sort of first aid type of thing in there, so he has that, but he’s mostly forgotten about it (Out of everyone he needs it the most though. Daring kiddo)

Hello! I have a question about ch anstars if you wouldn't mind~ How exactly do I get cards with the whole BP event thing? I can't figure out how to get past the 1st card, I thought it had to do with the fire bar but now that's maxed so @@ And silly question, can you get multiple copies?

You have to buy the cards from the shop using the tokens and jewels you get from participating in school competition battles.

Filling up the popularity bar/advancing to the further stages just allow you to unlock the ability to purchase or reserve the higher rarity cards.

and if you’re stuck on the current stage, you need to win another special battle to advance.

And yes, you can buy multiple copies of the cards.

Can I say the Eine Kleine video -coughs- Summertime Record makes me feel a certain kind of nostalgic, refreshing sadness, but I feel this should go to Toumei Answer, which I also dearly love... should I edit my answer to number one? Crap there’s too many really good songs, I didn’t even say Yobanashi Deceive? Or Children Record? Or... dang it Jin...

3.Least favorite song/video? Jinzou Enemy... it makes my ears kind of uncomfortable ;w; a lot of music like that I’m not into. But certain instrumental covers to it are fine.

yeah there we go.8.Least favorite character? This is hard simply because I don’t dislike any character in kagepro, honestly. My bottom ones are probably Konoha, Takane, and Azami, though? I dislike the tsundere trope (though I still like these two a fair bit) and I just dunno how to feel about Konoha because of his lack of output ;w; There’s nothing really wrong with him, I just like dialogue and knowing what a character is thinking a lot. His slow nature is good in other times, like him and Mary talking in MCA. Absolute gold. Episode 4 was 800% better because of him. But augh. 

9.Character with the saddest backstory? Hmm... Yeesh they’re all pretty bad. For me, I’ll say toss up between Kenjirou and Kano. Out of everyone, I feel like they are the ones that carry the worst of their backstories with them into the present. Shintaro also does, but I dunno, it was less direct in my brain somehow?

But also, Kano and Kenjirou are the ones most unable to move on from their past, which makes it even worse, really.

10.Favorite character outfit?

Hmmm... I like Kano’s a lot, but I fear bias. Ayano’s Summertime Record dress is A+++ Kido’s is awesome on its own, but I love her in her alt clothes so so so much. Kenjirou’s is good... especially because it doesn’t match his profession very well as far as I can tell (the teacher one. Like I know he has other stuff he does where it’s more appropriate, but he could take it off for school, but no. See, this is where Ayano gets it from you nerd)

11.List the Mekakushi Dan Members from favorite to least favorite

Kano, Shintaro, Hibiya, Momo, Kido, Seto, Ayano, Ene, Konoha, Mary 

... Mary and Konoha randomly switch places on here, I guess

Also based on those top three I think you can figure out the type of character I like best pretty easily xD

12.Favorite ships? Mmm, basically all the ‘main’ ones. Kanokido is my guilty pleasure (I never wanted to be in this ship bluh) Harutaka -so pure, so good- Setomary -not really my big thing but I enjoy it when I chance upon it- Shinaya -I’m kind of a sap with this, but I don’t like how most people portray it- 

Azami and impossible to spell husbands name -this whole ship is why I even like Azami at all, but like holy crap it’s SO good. Flippin’ cuties, man-

Kenjirou and Ayaka honestly, there’s so much that is only alluded to and such with them since ~side characters~ but anything in their perspective would be so cute and then SO TRAGIC. 

That’s basically it. I don’t really ship Momo, Hibiya, Hiyori, Ene, or Konoha with anyone. Like I’d love to ship Hibiya with someone, because even with young characters sometimes you can predict who they’d end up with when they’re older, but I have no clue with him. So not even like really innocent date stuff for him :/ 

Ene x heartbreak seems to be going strong, though 13.Least fav ships? Anything involving Kuroha, though the art is always so well done for those. Like why? Why do you hurt me this way? And Kan//oshin. I can’t stand it ;w; Mostly because of the novels and stuff but blah15.Shintaro or Momo? Shintaro! Optimism is great, but cynical sarcasm beats all

16.Haruka, Konoha, or Kuroha? Haruka, I love the harook, I love him so much

17.If you could have one of the eye abilities, which would you want?

Ooooooh! I love this one. Kano’s ability hands down. How fun, how practical, how abusable! It’s something you can use every day for many things ahhh

She’s a good. I guess some people really dislike her, but I will say in her defense that I really don’t think she’s a Sue, it’s just that we are seeing her through the eyes of her loved ones a lot and she’s kind of thought to be dead, so of course they seriously build her up. But when you read the novel from her perspective, oh man, she’s totally not a Sue

20.Would you rather be able to disappear from people, or ALWAYS have everyone’s attention?

DISAPPEAR. Like the attention thing would be useful if you could control it PERFECTLY. I HATE being the center of attention, but people have a hard time noticing me even when it’s important they do ‘I can help whoever’s next in line! .... uhm... guys over here! Hello?’ But because of the risk that I couldn’t perfectly control it, I’d go with disappearing. I already have the low presence thing so if I couldn’t control it, not much would be different 

21.If you were able to, would you become a hikikomori/NEET?

Actually did that for a bit, and I’d rather not again. I mean, doing nothing but hobbies everyday is pretty cool, but having money being put away so you can someday move out is really nice too. Less guilt, less shame. 

22.How did you get into Kagepro/what was the first song you listened to?

Heat Haze Daze is the first song that I can remember. Then a few months later I saw Otsukimi Recital and was like ‘wait, this is the same character as that one thing?’ and figured out it was a manga thing. I was like ‘I should read that’ but put it off for a loooong time, and next time I listened to a kagepro song, I saw in the comments section people waiting for the anime, so I just waited for that and watched that first, got like SUPER into it and then read the manga and novels afterwards.

23.Which media form do you prefer? Songs, manga, or novels?

Dang it, I actually like them all. I’d say it’s a toss up between the anime and novels for me24.How excited are you for Mekakucity Actors?

Changing this question to be about the movie. I’m actually not very excited because I feel like I won’t even get to see it, that it’s only for that theatre, so I’m just kinda like ‘egh... I tried so hard to be the best fan’
