I can’t believe the day came that I made it to Paris! Since French class in 7th grade (many, many, many) years ago, I have wanted to see Paris. It was a huge decision to go on this trip for me. People I thought who would encourage it didn’t and others I thought wouldn’t did. My oldest sister lost her husband to cancer not too long ago, and she told me life is much too short not to go because you just don’t know if you will get the chance again. In the end it was my decision and I made it happen. It was difficult to leave my girls for so long, but in the end I felt that this was something that I needed to do for myself and that it would be better for my family as a result.
I loved Paris! Thought everything about it was beautiful, even the red light district. The one thing I was most nervous about was riding on the Metro, but as it turned out that was one of my favorite experiences of the entire trip. I feel like I concurred the unknown! And that was the first time we met our new friends from Germany.
Chelsey, Clinton, Nate, and I - We saw the Louvre, like the entire thing, but it was more than that, we became responsibillabuddies!
It was the best when I took unexpected adventures; riding a carousel, taking off during free time to walk a quiet street, just being open to the possibilities!
