Thank you to everyone for participating in the tournament! I would definitely like to run further tournaments, so I'll post a poll soon gauging interest in a few possible different ideas. I'm also open to suggestions for possible things to run, so feel free to send any my way!

"Natalie Portman had numerous costume changes in Revenge of the Sith, but she loves what they called the deep blue 'end dress,' which she wore in her coffin in the funeral scene.

'I think Trisha [Biggar] wanted an ocean sense. Someone said to me it was very ‘Ophelia.’ With the flowers and the hair, it does look like I’m drowning'."

'I embraced the idea of there being a dress code and a precise decorative style for ceremonial regalia, incumbent upon both Queens and their handmaidens, which symbolizes the enduring aspects of their role in Naboo society. We also suggested this custom by repeating the shapes of costumes. The costume of Cordé, the handmaiden who is assassinated while posing as Padmé's decoy in Episode II, although made in off-white fabric, mirrors the style of Amidala's Episode I Black Palpatine Office Outfit, with its vintage jet beads, embroidered inset motifs, and elaborate headdress. Similarly, Queen Apailana's costume for the funeral procession in Episode III can be traced back to the formal Episode I Gray Palpatine Office Outfit worn by the then Queen Amidala; the cloaks and robes on the ranks of attending handmaidens who accompany the coffin are wearing the full range of styles previously established.

As another device to link the three Theed Queens (each is elected and reigns for four years), we developed a group of symbols and patterns particular to Naboo and picked some of these to be royal household motifs. We then incorporated these emblems in the decorative process used in embellishing the Queens' costumes and those of their retinues.'
