In Bell the Cat what is the thing you are most excited to do to Chat?

Ohh there's a few I'm excited about! But the one I'm most excited for is [redacted]! You'll see certain characters at their worst and the hurt and angst is going to be so good and I'm pretty sure some people will hate me for it 😈

"I saved your life today!" Ladybug snapped.

Chat Blanc's lips curled in a mocking smirk, but his voice was nothing but a snarl. "I have nine lives and you want me to thank you for saving one of them?"

"A normal person would be at least a little grateful!"

"Am I a normal person?"

Ladybug froze at his blunt question. She stared into the frozen depth of his eyes as he glared at her, and any words she might have had were bitten away by his frost.

He took her silence as answer enough. "I thought so," he hissed.

🧩 ⇢ what will make you click away from a fanfiction immediately?

Bad characterisation. If I read a paragraph into a fic and already get the "they would not say/do that" vibes then my interest is immediately lost. I can work my way through some clumsy formatting or excessively flowery language for at least the majority of the first chapter to give the fic a chance.

But (as mean as it probably sounds) I'm not interested in reading something that is either someone's oc wearing ML character masks, or reading something that is clearly ML salt's horrendous misinterprtation of the characters.

14. What have you been finding frustrating with writing this chapter/fic?

My main frustration has been that I've been so busy with my final project assignment these past few months and it's left me with very little creative energy for writing 😔 I've been thinking about Bell the Cat as well as all my other fics/ideas a lot but I've just been really focused on all the drawing and painting for my assignment.

For specifically writing the chapter, I'm facing my usual issue of seeing it all so clearly in my head but words are not wording 😅

This next chapter is still a mess and isn't really being written in chronological order so this technically takes place in the middle of the chapter:

"Here," Ladybug muttered, holding the remaining half of the loaf out towards the bars. Chat's expression remained carefully neutral as he momentarily watched her finish her own half of the bread. As soon as Ladybug swallowed her portion and was ready to make some quip about him not wanting any after all, Chat snatched the food from her hand. His movement had been so violently abrupt that Ladybug was sure he'd have taken her hand too if she hadn't let go. Even though the bars remained firm, Ladybug took a faltering step backwards as Chat tore into the bread like a beast devouring its prey.

Please be careful when hand feeding the kitty. You might lose a limb.

It really makes me giddy that Chat Blanc is one of my favourite characters in ML (Adrien being my favourite character and Chat Blanc obviously being a version of Adrien) when CB is one of the main reasons I got into watching ML in the first place.

I came across ML towards the end of s3 so when I went looking into what it was I think Chat Blanc's episode had just aired or was still recent enough that the fandom was still buzzing over it. And as soon as I saw CB I was hooked. A tragic character who's in an absolutely traumatising situation that came about because of a tragic love and unforunate abuse? Literally met all my cirteria before I even met him lmao
