Happy news in light of some very discouraging events lately in the animation news circuit — more information about the totally not canceled DreamWorks Animation sequel The Croods 2!
Trolls Head of Story Joel Crawford has signed on as director of Croods 2, and Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds are all back to voice their characters for the project. Captain Underpants producer Mark Swift is producing the film.
Joel Crawford will also direct a Trolls television special, DreamWorks Trolls Holiday, for NBC on November 24 of this year.
Croods 2 arrives in theaters on September 18, 2020.
