I only ever managed to play one game in our campaign but it was A Mess the entire time. Our wizard nearly died from a magical bone wand and tried to jump down a hole. I, the fighter aka meatshield aka tank, in the first fight critically missed and chucked my axe across the room into a wall. Missed nearly all my hits. The paladin (who's was someone's sisters who's like 10) was by far the most competent and effective player.

I would love to hear more about this is seems amazing?!?!

fake ace 30 day challenge

day two - a fellow crewmember @trolltoez

Raven is in position.  One story up and across the street from the heist location, their back against the stiff, cold wall, their bag of assorted weapons at their side.

The earpiece they’re wearing chirps to life.

“Alright, everyone,” says Charlie, voice steady and commanding.  Heist mode.  “All set?  Roll call.  Dadmin.”

“Pelican.”  Cotter, Raven knows, is probably right by Charlie’s side.

“Generichatkid.”  They can hear the faint sounds of Dana’s getaway car idling.

“Beer mom.”  Muscle is ready to go.

“Cheshire.”  The pickpocket, after a larger target this time.

“Liz.”  Explosives are primed.

“Hawke.”  Raven can almost see Amber in her sniper nest across the way.

And finally-- “Raven.”  They stretch their fingers, roll their shoulders, and get ready for go time.

“Good,” says Charlie again.  “Let’s do this.”

Raven watches from above as the five of them walk into the bank, one after the other, coming in from different directions so as to not appear together.  As soon as Wash, the last, is through the doors, Raven grins widely and pulls out their firework launcher.

They rarely aim this thing at the sky.  Where’s the fun in that?  They take careful aim at the street corner, and wait for the signal.

The loud explosion from within the bank completely covers the noise from Raven’s firework launcher, and moments later the street corner erupts with purple and silver sparks.  The people on the street scream again, not sure which way to duck.

Raven’s already aimed the other way, letting off another burst of red and gold sparks, some of which catch the leaves of a tree on fire.

The cops are pretty quick, as usual.  Within a couple minutes they’re all swarming the bank, and Amber begins to pick them off cleanly.  Raven shoots another firework in their midst, almost knocking a cop car completely over. Raven loves being distraction.  They love the chaotic nature combined with the creativity of unique weapons.  Tayla once showed them all how to make glitter grenades, and, speaking of, Raven grabs one from their bag, pulls the pin, and gives it an offhand throw into the crowd below.

“Grenade!” someone shouts, a cop probably, and Raven snickers to themself as the people scatter.  The timer on the grenade runs out, and suddenly there's a brilliant cloud of sparkly nonsense.

“Beginning evac,” Lana says through the speaker.

“Rave, think you can cover my explosion?” Liz says, and Raven throws back their head and laughs.

“You know I can,” is their only response as they prep another firework.

“Ready?” says Liz.  “Three, two,”

On one they both pull the triggers.  There’s a second boom from the back of the bank, accompanied by green and orange sparks at the front.

“Generichatkid?” Cotter says.  “You ready?”

“I’m here,” says Dana, and Raven and Amber listen in over their earpieces as the rest of the heisting crew load up the car and begin to evade the cops. Raven knows they’ve only got a few more minutes before the cops also locate their hiding spot, and they can hear Amber packing up too, but they want another moment to savor the thrill.  They’re down four fireworks and one glitter grenade, but they’ve still got spares and a hefty supply at home.

Raven loads the launcher back into the duffel bag with the ammo, turns their jacket inside out in case one of the cops spotted the color, and climbs down the ladder in the alleyway.  The duffel bag goes into storage in an alcove covered in garbage (which still might get stolen in this city, but someone else will be along later to pick it up) and begin to stroll down the street back to base, hands in their pockets, whistling cheerfully.  It’ll still be another hour before the rest of the crew make it back with the money, but as far as Raven is concerned, this has been a successful heist.

Aaaaaaaaaa this is gonna sound real sappy, but my friends bc they encourage me to better myself while also working super hard all the time themselves. It motivates me, and I want to watch all of them succeed.
