setting: Jackson is stumbling home after a party when he runs into a regular customer from the coffee shop.

Jackson stumbled, one foot in front of the other as he hummed a little bit under his breath. His friends had wanted to call him a taxi but his dorm was only a few blocks away from the house party where he’d spent the last several hours shotgunning-beers and doing keg stands with the rest of the wrestling team. He could have sworn that one of his friends had been making eyes at him the whole time, but Jackson was too afraid what would happen if he made a move on one of the guys and got rejected. His whole life was about the team, if he ended up getting ostracized then it wouldn’t be long until Jackson lost his scholarship completely. 

Lost in his own drunken thoughts, already thinking about which of his friends he was going to jerk off to when he got home, Jackson didn’t even notice that a car had been following him for the past couple of blocks. The boy turned down an alley and disappeared from the safety of the street lights, unaware that the car had come to a stop and someone was getting out of it to follow him even now. Taking out his phone, the dim glow from the screen illuminated his face as he drunkenly re-downloaded Grindr for the eight-millionth time, hiding behind an anonymous profile as he tried to find someone to hook up with. Then, everything went dark.

When Jackson woke up he was somewhere dark, not the alley he’d just been walking but somewhere else entirely. He rubbed at his head, still drunk as the room spun and he tried to get his bearings. Gradually the boy’s eyes adjusted to the dim light as the shapes within the basement began to take form. A sharp chill bit his skin as he sat up on the rickety bed, hearing rusty springs squeak and groan as he did. A sharp chill ran across his exposed skin as he realized his shirt and pants were gone, left in nothing but his underwear on an old, stained mattress. 

The door at the top of the wooden stairs opened and bleary eyes strained against the light there, “What-” Jackson could only make out the outline of the looming figure as they stood there, no clear or definable features yet in place as he tried to piece together what was going on. A rattle of chains followed as he lifted his hand to shield himself from the light, one wrist was connected to the wall by metal links, “what’s going on?” Jackson asked as fear and panic flooded his inebriated system. There was something heavier in his body, like his limbs were protesting with every movement. “Who the fuck are you?”
