Had a short little day for work today, which was probably for the best. I was understandably worried about how things would go today after last week's uncomfortable talk with my aunt/boss, and me totally melting down. She was saying entirely reasonable things about it being unacceptable for me to come late when I only work once a week, and more stressful things like she was worried I was taking advantage of her and that any other job would have fired me long before now. It was an understandable conversation that needed to happen, but she also said a few things that I don't think she realizes will be comments I'll take seriously to heart. Anyways I was close to giving my two weeks notice because it seemed like I was really not doing well enough despite doing my best, and they deserve a better employee; but she also said that me quitting would be "too easy" for me and unfair to them, leaving them in aurch w/o help. I totally melted down cuz it felt like neither staying nor going were options; but eventually my aunt made it clear she wanted me to keep working for them, unless there was no other option. So that's good...though it was a super unpleasant talk and day. And yeah, made me worried how things would go when I went in today. turns our neither my aunt nor my uncle was there, though; so I spent the majority of the time just working alone, which was fine by me. Uncle got there just a little while before I finished all my work, and he just said a quick hello before continuing on with his own stuff, so there wasn't any awkward conversation. Thank goodness! Maybe when I go in next week my aunt will wanna talk things out again, but hopefully 1) not, or 2) I'll have calmed down enough I won't immediately burst into tears. :P
