Tomb of Annihilation: Tanit
Tanit Hayam
Tanit Hayam was born into a family of merchants from Calimshan. Her parents often took her with them on long journeys with caravans, where she developed an interest in the nature of foreign lands, so different from her native desert.
As an adult, she began to study plants and acquired the knowledge and skills of the druids. Her family had enough wealth and freedom to set up greenhouses at home. Just like in her childhood, her heart yearned for adventure.
The paladins and clerics of Lathanter, Eldath and Tyr, organised the Scarlet Rose expedition to the island of Chult for missionary and research activities on the island. Tanit joined them as a botanist.
However, the explorers' peace in the jungle was quickly disrupted by an attack from one of the yuan ti tribes led by the Great Ras Nsi. The main purpose of the kidnapping was to perform a ritual during which he could achieve the state of "anathema." This required sacrifices, many sacrifices. The group was converted to yuan ti so that they could later be slaughtered*. Tanit could not withstand the transformation and was sent to die in a pit of corpses, the "Loge of the Rotten Mother," as the yuan ti called it. She appealed to nature to cling to the remnants of life, and she was heard.
Rot and mould came to her, growing into her flesh and healing her wounds. When she came to, her group was already finished. Barely alive and unnoticed, she made her way into the jungle, knowing full well that she had left part of her soul there, on the altar of conversion.
From then on, she was forced to survive in the jungle on the brink of death, knowing that her society was unwanted by both humans and yuan ti.
Thanks to old records, she managed to get to Port Nyanzaru and even board a ship back from Chult to Calimshan. This was only the beginning of her misadventures, as her altered body gave her away to the crew. Tanit was considered a yuan-ti spy and was left to the mercy of the changing nature of the Shining Sea.
Now her main goal is not just to survive, but to regain the remnants of her soul and humanity that she lost in the heart of the jungle.

Viernolu Melarn (Vivian)
from Ched-Nasad. 137 years old. CN->CG. Bard of the Collegium of Swords, crossbow expert. My OC from the Waterdeep: Dragon Heist campaing.
Personal quest: A poem on an old motif
Younger sister of Halisstra Melarn, also known as the Lady Penitent. After the disaster with the city of Ched-Nasad during the Silence of Lolth and the Drow civil war, escaped to the surface with her sister and the few members of their house who survived.
Left home too soon and did not have time to learn the bae'qeshel technique. In our campaign, Waterdeep is a rather chauvinistic town towards the Drow and refugees from Elturel. On the Surface, she uses disguise and makeup to pretend to be a wood elf.
Currently figuring out the fate of her sister. Loves art, fun quests, the clinking of coins, seducing people, kalimshan coffee, cats and horses. Behind the mask of carefree and fun hides a lot of pain from the past.
Can talk to animals, this helps her and the group when investigating. At the last game session she was initiated into the Eilistraee religion. Works with Qilue Veladorn to find Halisstra and spread the Eilistraee faith.
I tried to fit it into the lore of the Forgotten Realms, since the events of Dragon Heist include canon history and characters. And as luck would have it, Qilue Veladorn did turn out to be one of the official characters involved in the story.
Special thanks to Risi for the insignia of the noble house of Melarn.
two year ago, I drew mock tarot cards senior arcana for our party's Curse of Strahd campaign
in order of characters: rogue Jasper Cliff (Jasper), paladin of Bane Archaon, warlock Adrian Welt, cleric of Tyr Reina, cleric of Selune Cassima (mine, yeah), ranger Babette
Cassima was my first character to become a priest of Selune, and I later carried that over into BG3

Grimonn Tars (anagram from Morning Star)
My character for an author campaign I and my party played about three years ago. I took the legend of the rat catcher of Hamelin as inspiration.
Bard College of Swords/Hexblade Warlock, wielder of the Rat King's flute that can transform into a rapier. Neutral-evil.
Never tried to embody his looks in Baldurs Gate 3, he's too much of a character guy.
