Burningstar’s Family Tree

To Burningstar, their family is rather small. Their grandmother, Deadears, is a deaf elder, and their aunt, Firewhisker, is their deputy. They enjoy how close they were able to keep their family.

Unbeknownst to them, Thunderspots, their father, had joined Eclipseclan. Thunderspots sustained his injuries in his attempt to flee Sunclan and eventually join Eclipseclan. He became mates with Pinewhisperer, an ex-Dawnclan warrior, and fathered three kits. The queen is becoming wise to his unfaithful waves, though, and focuses most of her time on caring for her kits than maintaining her relationship with their father.

Thunderspots’ previous mate, Starlingeyes, broke things off with him before her death. She discovered his affair with another warrior in Sunclan and decided to raise their kits, Burningkit and Ashkit, alone. She and her son, then Ashpaw, passed away from a wave of a mysterious illness that swept through the clan. The same illness weakened Dandeliondust who eventually wasted away, curled up next to his mate in his nest.

Burningstar looks up to their aunt and deputy as a mother figure. She cares for Deadears and advocates for those with the quietest voices in Sunclan. She attempts to sway Burningstar’s more harsh rulings, sometimes to no avail. She, as well as the medicine cat, are the only two cats in Sunclan who know about their lack of nine lives.
