It was one of her good days and she was stable enough to actually have Lin by herself for a little while. It wasn’t easy, not by a long shot, but he was healthy and happy, the weather was nice, and the park was blissfully quiet. The park bench wasn’t the most comfortable, but Lin was making happy baby sounds in her lap as she pointed out the butterflies and birds for him, not expecting to run into anyone she knew.
Months ago, she would have followed him around, but all Tru did was give a small wave, her other arm still secure around her little one.

He hadn’t been home in days. At first, Tru figured he was with Izzy, but when Iz said he hadn’t seen him either, she began to worry. She had taken to checking everywhere he tended to frequent, but it was the last place she expected that she actually stumbled across him.
“Lin? Where the fuck have you been?”

She was a mess, hands torn up, fragments of glass keeping the wounds, for the most part, open as she clawed at her arms in a slow repetition. She had no idea how long ago the episode had started, barely even noticed the blood, didn’t even hear her bedroom door open. In all honesty, it wasn’t even registering to her that she was in her own home, much less that anyone else was even there.
