If you're wandering around a large city at night and hear rummaging through back alley dumpsters or see a public trash can shaking its likely a Trubish or Garbodor.
These two very pungent, I'm assuming so anyway I can't really smell things, Pokémon are mostly harmless, but absolutely love garbage.
Starting with Trubish, they're much smaller than the larger Garbodor, but there's usually more of them due to this, as its easier for them to hide in places where they aren't wanted, despite their smell.
Trubish are less than a meter tall standing at 60cm, that's around 2ft for my Unova followers, so in a large pile of trash they can really go undetected.
The big danger with large groups of Trubish gathering together are the gases it secretes for defence purposes, a strong enough dose from a single one can land a fully grown human in the hospital and can even stun a Vigoroth.
Large groups doing this tend to be problematic so it's easier to capture and train them to work in city dumps or in garbage disposal sites. While we're not overly sure What caused Trubish to start appearing our best guess is something similar to Grimer where chemicals and pollution had some sort of reaction that brought this Pokémon into existence.
Much rarer to see is Garbodor, at nearly 2 meters tall, roughly 6 ft for Unovan units, it's much harder for them to hide in cities so they often hide in garbage dumps, and in most areas dealing with them is similar to dealing with Trubish and Muk and the like, except in Galar. In the Galar region there can be random bursts of dynamax energy which can cause Pokémon to become Very large and Very powerful for a short period of time. Garbodor is one Pokémon with a special form, we call these GMAX forms. It grows massively large and absorbs a huge amount of garbage around itself when it does this and this drastically increases the amount of damage its toxin can do. For defense purposes Garbodor secretes a toxin that it also uses to stun would be attackers but if its at such a size with amplification in power it becomes a challenge to handle. That's why in Galar waste disposal sites are now constructed with care to avoid any areas prone to dynamax energy outbreaks and are regularly inspected for large gatherings of Garbodor.
Like many poison types I have one myself, but due to the danger is can inadvertently pose to my other Pokémon he gets his own special enclosure where he roams around and hides in...the air filtration system I had to install cost a fortune.
