i think about duncan and trents dynamic a lot. in my personal headcannon, i think trent would enjoy having someone whose confrontational and willing to be honest with him. while duncan would like a partner who can be more easygoing and tolerant of whatever he gets up to.

also trents island and action bios mentions a desire to go against authority, which duncan would definitely take advantage of.

other than that, they'd bond over music and how much their fathers are disappointed in them.
