if you want creepy stories, i think my high school auditorium was haunted. there was a story going back at least a decade that the guy who paid for the auditorium to be built was haunting it, and when the drama club was rehearsing sometimes there would suddenly be a REALLY LOUD clanging sound from inside the walls? like, you could hear it outside. it usually preceeded our director yelling at us and never happened during a show. the ghost was our harshest critic.

o m g so the dude was basically like “I didn’t pay for this place for you to halfass it” from beyond the grave? What a control freak icon, I love it.

Heh, not many. I know French, Russian, and Norwegian in addition to my native English. I also know a bit of Ukrainian, Esperanto (I used to be fluent but egh), Estonian, and Finnish.Which all means nothing to me bc I want to learn Polish and I’ve spent years studying it and yet. It’s difficult. I need to find another Polish tutor, I can’t do it on my own.

i just read blood in the water and i LOVE IT! i'm a sucker for magical realism. also, i saw your comment about leo being from the us country and seeing eyes where they shouldn't be--i personally hc leo as being from illinois originally, and the midwest has a lot of unspoken superstitions. close the curtains after dark and don't look outside, especially not if the neighborhood dogs start barking at something. don't stare too long at the abandoned barns by the highway. DON'T fuck with bloody mary.

thanks for reading the series :D I love magical realism so much. I have these ideas for an original book that is based heavily in magical realism (it’s a great plot, but i can’t get a handle on the characters. So, in the meantime, I write fanfiction and love every minute of it)

I love the idea of Leo from the midwest with all its accompanying strangeness - there are some great posts on tumblr talking about the strangeness in a lot of places, and I see the midwest featured frequently. The way this story works, is that some of that stuff might be real, and some of it might not be, but do you really want to go outside at night and find out?

I’ll see if I can find some of those posts and post them here, I think I’ve got a couple in my drafts.

here's a story! i volunteer at the local humane society (obligatory plug: if you're looking to adopt an animal please look at shelter pets because they are sweet and just want a loving home) doing stuff like dog walking, cleaning up after the cats, generally providing cuddles to small cute friends. today i was changing litter and a little tabby kitten, about six months old, took a running leap from across the room and jumped up to hang onto my thigh (through my jeans.) poor guy wanted a hug.

(tell me a story!) SHELTER KITTIES. (My bby was also a shelter kitty so I’m going to wholeheartedly second that plug.) You made such an agile and enthusiastic friend today, I’m so happy for you both.

oh, i have a weird story--i was on speech team in high school, and my junior year i did an original comedy speech that was basically eight solid minutes of bad fish puns. i posted some of the worst ones on my blog and didn't really think anything of it. jump forward to the state sectionals tournament, and just as we were leaving another competitor from a different school ran up to me and said "are you fish pun girl? i follow you on tumblr!" which is #testimonials, honestly.
